Wrestling Spirit I/II

Wrestling Spirit 2

Wrestling Spirit 2 Features

“Wrestling Spirit 2” is the sequel to the popular simulator “Wrestling Spirit: Rookie To Legend”. WreSpi2 builds upon the success of its predecessor, adding more depth and many brand new features. These include:

  • Two brand new modes: “Pro League” and “World League”. What would happen if pro wrestling was organized like a real sport? You can now find out in these innovative new sections, as you take control a wrestler and take part in a competitive league, battling it out over the course of a season as you fight against fellow grapplers to decide promotions, relegations, and to answer the ultimate question; who is the true world champion of wrestling?
  • Updated versions of the popular Wrestling Spirit career modes “Rookie To Legend” and “Superstar Challenge”. Take control of a wrestler and guide him through his career, fighting his matches, earning new contracts, and making and breaking friendships. Updated to take into account the feedback we have had from WreSpi1 players, these two modes take your wrestling career to the next level!
  • Improved fighting experience. Building upon the popular gaming engine from “Wrestling Spirit: Rookie To Legend”, Wrestling Spirit 2 boasts improved AI, more moves, improved move sets, and much more! The addition of crucial momentum levels and all-new counters turns matches into a battle of wits; sure to be a hit with strategy fans. WreSpi2 is truly “the thinking person’s fighting game“.
  • By popular request, Wrestling Spirit 2 now allows the simulation of CPU vs CPU matches, allowing you to sit back and watch the action unfold. Ideal for e-fed owners, who can use this to simulate entire shows.
  • Brand new promotion-specific AI controls. You can now set how each promotion will work, from their individual booking quirks all the way to stylistic choices, such as whether they have referee bumps during their matches or not.
  • Improved booking engine. By popular request, “Wrestling Spirit 2” utilizes a modified version of the booking engine used in the massively successful simulator “Total Extreme Wrestling 2005”, meaning that the AI is much more advanced than its Wrestling Spirit predecessor.
  • Massive gaming depth. After the extreme popularity of the in-depth records found in “Total Extreme Wrestling 2005”, WreSpi2 boasts equally expansive data and histories, ranging from complete competitive histories for every character in the game to accurate histories for every title belt.
  • In-depth editing suite allowing customization of virtually every part of the game world, from what promotions are available to whether a wrestler is bald!
  • Updated game universe. “Wrestling Spirit 2” will feature an updated version of the incredibly popular CornellVerse gaming world, as featured in “Total Extreme Wrestling 2005” and “Wrestling Spirit: Rookie To Legend”.
  • Brand new interface, designed by TEW2005’s Jason Warholic
  • And much more!

Wrestling Spirit

Wrestling Spirit Features

You take control of a professional wrestler and try to guide him through his career. This includes wrestling his matches, negotiating contracts, keeping personal finances, dealing with injuries, and surviving backstage politics.

  • Realistic opponent AI. Wrestlers fight in a natural manner. Lightweights do come off the top rope at regular intervals. Technical workers will tie you up in knots on the mat, and try to squeeze you into submission. 500lb giants will simply batter you with strikes and slams.
  • Varied move sets for workers. Each worker can have a huge amount of moves, spread over different categories: strikes, grapples, corner, ground, air, rebound off the ropes, and rope moves (planchas and springboards). This gives wrestlers very unique offensive choices no matter where they are in the ring (or outside).
  • Realistic simulation of physical condition. Working body parts has a very real affect on the match. Working a wrestler’s legs will not only soften him up for submissions, but will also make him unable to utilize any of his own moves that rely on leg strength.
  • Realistic simulation of time. As the match progresses, wrestlers get tired, and they start to make more mistakes. The speed of their weakening is based on their stamina levels, meaning highly conditioned professionals will have major advantages over fat out-of-shape brawlers as the match goes on.
  • Match statistics – At any point in the match you can view an amazing array of stats, from the percentage of time you’ve been on the attack, to how many of each type of move you’ve attempted, to the amount of counters you’ve done. You can also view a log of every move, counter, and action performed so far, so you can see where your weaknesses are.
  • External factors can play a big part in matches. Ref bumps? Chairs? Tables? Blood? Run ins? Pre-match attacks? All included.
  • Audio play-by-play and individual move pictures. Matches have both sound and graphics (both customizable), adding to the atmosphere of each match.
  • Training – Define exactly how you want to train, meaning you can customize exactly where you want your character to focus his efforts, perfecting the areas you want to perfect.
  • Morale – your character has wants and needs, which you must satisfy. If he becomes too unhappy, he’ll leave wrestling, ending your career. These include things like financial needs, meaning that you may need to make tough choices about where you work in order to pay the bills!
  • Backstage – talk to other wrestlers before the show; form friendships, make enemies, get into fights, or keep to yourself.
  • Politics – The relationships that you form can affect how your career is shaped. Strong allies can get you opportunities you’d never get otherwise, while enemies can be out to screw you over.
  • Try-out matches – promotions may give you a match to prove yourself worthy. Feel the pressure as you engage in a make-or-break match with a superior opponent!
  • Look for work – you can approach promotions to look for work, or they can come to you if you’re in demand.
  • Creative meetings – call a meeting with the company to discuss your creative direction, such as requesting managers, feuds, or new tag team partners.
  • Exhibition match feature – play against a friend or the computer with any worker in any style of match.
  • Much reduced memory usage from its predecessor TEW – around 50%.
  • Extremely quick loading times between days.
  • Fully active game world – every promotion in the world continues doing business, regardless of whether you work for them or not. Wrestlers will move around, have matches, and win titles, making a constantly evolving game world for you to play in.
  • Full in-game, easy-to-use editor, which can be used to edit just about everything in the game
  • Skinnable screens – almost every single graphic in the entire game can be customized by the user
  • Unlimited number of save games
  • Multiple databases at once – no more swapping files around manually, you can have unlimited databases attached to WreSpi at the same time, and swap between them with just a few clicks of the mouse.
  • Full match history for every wrestler in the game.
  • Full title history for every belt and wrestler in the game.
  • Full results history for every promotion in the game.
  • 7 different game areas: USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, UK, Australia and Europe.
