'Magnificent' Gino Montero [vs] 'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside

Reason: HEY I'm back to questions and predictions! I've always liked Sonny and I fully believe he is a bigger and better future.

Robin DaLay [vs] El Fuego
Reason: As much as I don't like Robin DaLay, I think this is his one victory to get him out of the rut hes been on for months now.

'Country Strong' KC Glenn [vs] 'Gentleman' Lord James King
Reason: Finally coming to grace the Canadian ring KC Glenn against one of my favs. Glenn walks away from this being strong and great.

'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn [vs] 'The Man Beast' Akima Brave
Reason: From what I've read, Dunn's still on a roll. Even though this new look for Brave is cool and all, Dunn's on the way up.

NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match:
World's Most Wanted (Jacob Jett & Thrill Seeker) [vs] Mayhem (Aldous Blackfriar & Mutant) (c)
Reason: I see and wish for nothing less than eternal darkness for the tag division with Mayhem forever leading the charge of evil! Mayhem forever!!!

'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez
Reason: Its been awhile since Jack's been in the Main event. We're getting close to a year. I do hope this is a return to form.

'Magnificent' Gino Montero [vs] 'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside
Wildside had that impressive win over Hernandez, but has floundered a bit of late. Doubt he stalls Montero's climb towards the top.

Robin DaLay [vs] El Fuego
Eventually El Fuego has to get a win. And I think it is here.

'Country Strong' KC Glenn [vs] 'Gentleman' Lord James King
Curious to see who you pit Glenn against first. I know you've teased Strong, but with the popularity issues and desire to slow roll him, I presume Strong prevails where I would have thought it was Glenn for sure before. Either way, this is a good welcome win.

'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn [vs] 'The Man Beast' Akima Brave
Brave was building all that pop to rub for Dunn. Makes sense.

NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match:
World's Most Wanted (Jacob Jett & Thrill Seeker) [vs] Mayhem (Aldous Blackfriar & Mutant) (c)
I would actually like to see WMW get the belts because there are more heel teams that can chase the belt, but I don't know if you get it off Mayhem at the second defense.

'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez
I want to pick DeColt because I could see him toppling Gargantuan, but with the drive for ratings, not sure a heel/heel match does it justice. So I'll take Hernandez to get a BIG bounceback (pinning Ricky obviously...)

MARCH 2018, WEEK 2…

Show Rating: 90

Announce Team:

Peter Michaels and Tom Townsend

'The Monster' Gargantuan opened the show, carrying his NOTBPW Canadian Title over his shoulder... The huge 7'1”, 350lb giant strolled out with a grin on his face, and slowly climbed into the ring... He asked for a microphone, and the man who rarely speaks to the fans, took his time to say anything... Eventually, he proclaimed that he is unstoppable... Unbeatable... and incomparable...!! He said that man men have come, and tried to end his Title reign... and end his two plus years unbeaten run... But before he could finish what he was going to say, an unfamiliar entrance music hit... A man nobody knew the identity of... Until his name flashed up on the screen...

'RAY DIAZ'

Ray Diaz, also known as 'The Monster', who has spent the last 22 years working in Japan, and is one of the most legendary non-Japanese competitors in the history of the company... At 6'8”, and 360lbs, Ray Diaz is a physical match for Gargantuan, and he stood in the ring, and paced back and forth in front of the NOTBPW Canadian Champion!! He too asked for a microphone, and the crowd began to chant loudly for the intruder!! He then stepped forward and got into Gargantuan's face... The two big men growled at each other, as the crowd begged for them to fight...

Ray Diaz: “I'm here... In this ring... In this company... because there's a MAN... walking around the place, calling himself 'THE MONSTER'!! I'm 'The Monster'... So I'm here to see what the hype is all about... and maybe make a challenge... for...”

Before Ray Diaz could finish what he was saying, 'The Enforcer' for The Animals Tim Westybrook arrived on the stage... One of the biggest men in NOTBPW was dwarfed by the two men in the ring, and wisely stayed on the apron... He told the two 'Monsters' that nobody wants to see Ray Diaz versus Gargantuan... and that HE has been working hard to climb the ranks, and earn a shot at the NOTBPW Canadian Title... So... if Diaz wants to be next, he's going to have to go through 'The Iron Man'!! Diaz said that that's fine, next week, Diaz versus Westybrook... Winner gets Gargantuan!! 'The Enforcer' almost seemed to regret what he'd said, but the match was made for next week!! Ray Diaz's debut in NOTBPW!!

After a HUGE start to the show, the announcers confirmed that the newest member of their team will be joining them, right after the first match... But before the first match, they also informed us of tonight's Main Event!! At the DeColt WrestleFestival, we're going to see a Two Day Tournament, beginning with SIX First Round Matches on Day One, and culminating with three Semi Finals, and a Triple Threat Final on Day Two!! An tonight, three of the confirmed entrants will compete in a Triple Threat... None of them will fight in Round One, and therefore this COULD be the Final!! Ricky DeColt... James Hernandez... and Ricky's Brother Jack DeColt!! Our opening contest also featured two men from the Tournament, who also won't fight in Round One:

'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside [vs] 'Magnificent' Gino Montero

Two flashy youngsters with bright futures did battle here for the first time ever here. They could meet again in the Semi Finals of the Two Day Tournament at the DeColt WrestleFestival at the end of this month, but for tonight, they both just wanted to show what they can do. It was an exciting contest, and the crowd seemed to really get behind them both. For the finish, Gino Montero stopped Sonny Wildside with his 'Destiny Explosion' but the match was very even throughout!

78
Winner: 'Magnificent' Gino Montero
Finish: 'Destiny Explosion' (Canadian Destroyer)

Next up, finally, it was time for the newest member of the announce team to arrive in NOTBPW!! And that new member, was former CGC manager and colour commentator Adrian Garcia!! The man known as 'The Consultant To The Stars' strolled to the ring to a big ovation, and the cocky, fast-talking, suited, 36 year old, climbed into his seat alongside Peter Michaels and Tom Townsend!! The two long-serving members of the announce team were glad to have a non-wrestler take the seat, but they weren't exactly impressed with his attitude from the first minute... Claiming to be the best thing that ever happened to NOTBPW's announce booth!!

Peter Michaels: “Switching gears a little, we have an update on the condition of 'Awesome' Wade Orson...”
Adrian Garcia: “Speaking of 'Awesome'... Did you SEE that kid get his face smashed in Peter?! I enjoyed that!!”
Peter Michaels: “Yeah I saw it, but how can you enjoy it damn it?!”
Adrian Garcia: “Are you serious...?! Is he serious...?! All that blood... All that... I mean, he almost CRIED!!”
Peter Michaels: “...”
Tom Townsend: “Well nevertheless... Orson's face was smashed in... By 'Notorious' Sayeed Ali... He used a BOTTLE of beer... and Orson is out of action... Orson's friend Ernest Youngman wants revenge, NOW... but Alex DeColt has booked a six man tag team match next week... Ernest Youngman will team with The Ring Generals, to take on the man responsible for Orson's injuries: Sayeed Ali, and his Coast To Coast Connection friends!!”

Robin DaLay [vs] El Fuego

This was a short, but very close fought match. The youngster Robin DaLay did a good job early on, of getting his shots in, but the mysterious El Fuego hit back a lot harder! The masked Mexican star landed a roundhouse kick, and then a step up enziguri, before leaping up and hitting a 'Springboard Moonsault'!

60
Winner: El Fuego
Finish: 'Springboard Moonsault'

'The Riddler' POISON headed to the ring next, joined by his new 'muscle', Prometheus, and proceeded to introduce the 7'1”, 365lb beast to the masses... 'The Dark Shadow' loomed over POISON, and POISON said that the same shadow now looms over NOTBPW... He also said that Prometheus is here to help him RID NOTBPW of 'The Outsider' Steve DeColt... The veteran's comments brought Steve DeColt onto the stage, and the big fan favourite received a huge ovation, before speaking directly to POISON about their match at Clash Classic, and then POISON's words here tonight...

Steve DeColt: “POISON... I'm glad you've found a friend... But the fact is, I'm DONE with you... When I beat you at Clash Classic, that was the END of my dealings with you... and all your 'special dust'... and all your cheating ways... I'm done with you... So I can focus my attention on Alex (DeColt)...!! Because of you, Dan DaLay got his hand broken by Alex at Clash Classic... and even though he's hurt, DaLay is fighting YOU next week... and then after that, there's someone else who wants to focus THEIR attention on YOU!!”

Steve DeColt pointed up to the rafters, where a man who has been wrestling for THIRTY years... but hasn't competed in NOTBPW for over SEVEN!! Dark Angel is one of the most well-travelled and distinguished competitors in the world, and he's BACK!! Steve DeColt revealed that POISON's next challenge, and opponent at the DeColt WrestleFestival would be 'The Angel', and POISON looked furious!! DeColt then said that he wants to fight his brother Alex... finally... nine years after leaving Alex's company CGC to join NOTBPW...!!

'Country Strong' KC Glenn [vs] 'Gentleman' Lord James King

A night of debuts, and returns continued here, with the NOTBPW Championship Wrestling debut of KC Glenn! The 'Country Strong' 26 year old American looked fantastic out there in a short but dominant display over the consistent 'Gentleman' Lord James King! For the finish, just when King was fighting back into it, Glenn exploded with his 'Tune Up The Sunshine Band'!!

54
Winner: 'Country Strong' KC Glenn
Finish: 'Tune Up The Sunshine Band' (Brogue Kick)

As 'Country Strong' KC Glenn left the ring, he was passed on the ramp by 'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn, who was heading to the ring for his match... Glenn and Dunn have had a little bit of history together, being entrants in the Battle Royale at Big City Brawl back in January, and then having a staredown at Clash Classic this past Saturday... Backstage, the NOTBPW All Action Champion Erik Strong 'Though' was speaking with Katie Cameron... Cameron told Strong that at the DeColt WrestleFestival, he'll be defending his NOTBPW All Action Title against BOTH KC Glenn, AND Donte Dunn, and he wasn't happy... But he got a little shock when Jonathan Faust rocked up behind him...

Jonathan Faust: “Strong... I want in... That Triple Threat Match is going to be a Fatal Four Way... Donte Dunn thinks our rivalry is over, but he's wrong... I'm not asking to join the match to take your Title... I'm joining it to stop Dunn winning it... So make it happen!!”

'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn [vs] 'The Man Beast' Akima Brave

Going into this match, Akima Brave was in one of his hot streaks, and was undefeated in four matches. However, in their last five meetings as opponents in singles matches, Donte Dunn has won four! He seems to have the Samoan's number, and continued his form against Brave here. Brave had his moments, and hit a Samoan Drop. But when he went for the 'Samoan Suplex' (Jackhammer), Dunn fell out the back, and landed on his feet! The fan favourite was then able to hit his 'Sunny Daze' finisher and knocked Brave out!

82
Winner: 'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn
Finish: 'Sunny Daze' (Spinning Back Fist)

Backstage, Solomon Gold was talking to his mentor The Natural... He asked what Natural's long-time tag team partner Owen Love had meant when he said that their friendship was 'fun while it lasted'...?! He then asked if he and Natural were done as a tag team now that Love was back... Natural said no... He said he wants to team with both men... as he's enjoying the experience of teaming with someone young and hungry like Gold!! Just then, Owen Love walked in eating some popcorn!! He offered some to The Natural, but looked down on Solomon Gold, and didn't offer him any!!

Owen Love: “Listen Natch... Enough of this nonsense... Forget about this kid... I think I have a way that we can be NOTBPW Tag Team Champions together... one more time!!”

World's Most Wanted (Thrill Seeker & Jacob Jett) [vs] Mayhem (Aldous Blackfriar & Mutant) (c)

In an entertaining bout, these two teams were a match for each other in terms of offence, but not in terms of size. Mutant was the difference for most of the match, dominating the smaller Thrill Seeker and Jacob Jett. Once World's Most Wanted got on a roll though, they were able to slow Mutant down by using their own quickness and bringing the pace of the match to their favoured speed!! Aldous Blackfriar made a well-timed blind tag late on, and was able to keep up for a while, but Jacob Jett knocked him over with a brilliant dropkick, and then hopped up onto the top rope. But just before he unleashed with a high-flying move, two masked men arrived and one of them pushed him off!! Causing the disqualification!!

79
Winners: by Disqualification: World's Most Wanted!!
Therefore STILL NOTBPW Tag Team Champions: Mayhem (Aldous Blackfriar & Mutant)
Finish: 'Disqualification'

Based on their masks, the attackers MUST have been Mexican!! They continued their attack after the bell and began by stomping a mud-hole in Thrill Seeker 2 on 1... After a hard-fought match, and then being shoved off the top rope, Jacob Jett was no help at all... He was picked up by the green masked man, and he was thrown into the ring-steps and his fight was officially over... Thrill Seeker faired a little better against the red masked man, but eventually he succumbed to a big boot to the face... 2 on 1 again, and he was beaten and victimised... All the while, the luckiest tag team in NOTBPW: Mayhem escaped with their Championship Belts, and were safely on the stage!!

We cut backstage, to where Edd Stone and Bryan Vessey had bumped into one another... Edd looked at the ground, and it seemed like he didn't want to speak to his fellow 'Animal'... Bryan Vessey has made a few 'power plays' lately, and has called Edd's leadership of the group into question... But Vessey wanted Edd to know the reason he chose 'The Animal' as the Special Guest Referee for his upcoming clash with 'Angry' Tom Gilmore at the DeColt WrestleFestival... Edd still didn't seem like he wanted to speak with Vessey, but he couldn't hide his intrigue... He must have been wondering for a while why Vessey chose him...!!

Bryan Vessey: “Edd... I did it out of respect... and out of trust... I respect you Edd... and I TRUST you... to do the right thing in my Career versus Career Match against (Tom) Gilmore... At the DeColt WrestleFestival, one of us, is going to be fired... and it could be by the count of YOUR hand... And I want you to know... If you do the right thing... You'll have my FULL support going forward!!”

'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt

In a match that could easily be the FINALS of the DeColt WrestleFestival Two Day Tournament, these three Main Event level talents did battle in a thrilling contest. Ricky DeColt was outnumbered early on, as James Hernandez and Jack DeColt quietly agreed to team up and take 'The Young Gun' down. However, that alliance only lasted until 'Mainstream' Hernandez went for a cover to try to win the match behind Jack's back! 'The Wild Man' was furious, and he began hitting hay-makers on both sides of Hernandez's jaw! Jack DeColt was in control from then on, and closed in on what would have been a huge victory. However, Ricky DeColt came back into the match late on, and the two DeColt Brothers engaged in a brilliant fight. In the end, Ricky hit his 'DeColt .45' Super Kick on Jack's jaw, and fell into the cover. However, Hernandez was there to break the pin up, and throw Ricky out of the ring. 'Mr. Main Event' then landed on Jack, and pinned 'Wild Man's' shoulders to the mat to score the win!!

93
Winner: 'Mainstream' James Hernandez
Finish: 'DeColt .45' (Super Kick)

Peter Michaels: “Well we could have just had a preview of the DeColt WrestleFestival Gentlemen... James Hernandez has GOT to be the favourite now!!”
Adrian Garcia: “I actually agree with you there Michaels... A HUGE win for 'Mr. Main Event'... Over two men who so far ARE the favourites!”
Tom Townsend: “Well with more open spots in the Tournament still to be decided, we look forward to next week... Where hopefully, more names will be added... But for my money, Ricky DeColt, Jack DeColt, James Hernandez, Gino Montero and Sonny Wildside is an excellent start...!!”

Gino Montero [def.] Sonny Wildside
El Fuego [def.] Robin DaLay
KC Glenn [def.] Lord James King
Donte Dunn [def.] Akima Brave
World's Most Wanted [def.] Mayhem
by Disqualification... Mayhem RETAIN the NOTBPW Tag Team Titles...
James Hernandez [def.] Ricky DeColt and Jack DeColt

No news to report this week...

'The Monster' Ray Diaz [vs] 'The Enforcer' Tim Westybrook
I flipped back and forth here, but Diaz is just back from Japan. Westy is still popping like a main eventer on your roster. I think Westy gets the win, but Diaz is on track for Gargantuan soon.

'The Iron Fist' Dan DaLay [vs] 'The Riddler' POISON w/ Prometheus
Dark Angel against POISON is going to be awesome! But for now, he gets a win over the older DaLay.

If Jonathan Faust wins, he's added to the NOTBPW All Action Title Match at the DeColt WrestleFestival
'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn [vs] 'The Saviour of Wrestling' Jonathan Faust
I think the stipulation makes it a Faust win. But that 4-way could be a great in-ring spectacle.

Ernest Youngman & The Ring Generals [vs] Sayeed Ali & The Coast To Coast Connection
Youngman evens the score and gets a win over C2C, but not sure he ultimately wins the war.

Robin DaLay [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt
This should be ugly.

'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez
Hernandez is fresh of pinning Jack. The man is next level for you, and I don't think that changes here.

Damn, went on vacation and missed a week. You are really pumping out the shows Lloyd!

'The Monster' Ray Diaz [vs] 'The Enforcer' Tim Westybrook
Diaz is likely heading towards a match with Gargantuan to give the big boy something to do while you figure out who you can even put in a program with him.

'The Iron Fist' Dan DaLay [vs] 'The Riddler' POISON w/ Prometheus
Don't see an injured DaLay winning, not with Prometheus being in POISON's corner.

If Jonathan Faust wins, he's added to the NOTBPW All Action Title Match at the DeColt WrestleFestival
'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn [vs] 'The Saviour of Wrestling' Jonathan Faust
Faust wins because it makes the fatal four way more exciting, and him losing gives him nothing to do.

Ernest Youngman & The Ring Generals [vs] Sayeed Ali & The Coast To Coast Connection
Whether by DQ or other means, I think the Shooters get the win over Ali and co.

Robin DaLay [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt
Robin gets the rub but goes down on his back to Jack DeColt.

'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez
I could see Ricky getting the shocking win after Mainstream won the past week, but I can't vote against Hernandez.

Another fantastic show with a lot of new faces. What kind of contracts are Dark Angel and Ray Diaz on? Is the Diaz/ Westybrook winner going to get Gargantuan at the DeColt WrestleFestival? Seems like it would be a disservice to the roster for that to happen. Anyway, on to the picks.

'The Monster' Ray Diaz [vs] 'The Enforcer' Tim Westybrook
The Gatekeeper Tim Westybrook does Gatekeeper work.

'The Iron Fist' Dan DaLay [vs] 'The Riddler' POISON w/ Prometheus
POISON's build continues with some help from Prometheus.

If Jonathan Faust wins, he's added to the NOTBPW All Action Title Match at the DeColt WrestleFestival
'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn [vs] 'The Saviour of Wrestling' Jonathan Faust
Don't really want Faust to win this one but I feel like he needs something to do for the DeColt WrestleFestival. Probably some sort of fluke or tainted win here.

Ernest Youngman & The Ring Generals [vs] Sayeed Ali & The Coast To Coast Connection
The Shooters get a slice of revenge against the CTC Connection as Youngman pins someone not named Ali.

Robin DaLay [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt
The Wild Man goes wild.

'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez
DeColt picks up some momentum this week.
