Unsatisfied with this logic.

and a bloody power role isn't enough? Egad, it's gonna take something big then. Maybe he should be the don then. Guess that got his batteries charging.

Is there ever any logic when it comes to voting either in one of these Kingmaker games or in real life?

The same can be said about the MLT's vote behind you. Where was her logic?

I have friends that voted for Obama just because it was the cool thing to do. Where is the logic to that?

Well, I'll be back in about 25-26 hours to try and use my vote tactically to keep people out over voting people in if needs.

I might be around to point out fallacies in people's arguments before then, but at the moment there's just a lot of willy waving that's really not my kind of thing.

Here's logic: Let's not put all of the power into the hands of, like, 2 guys with giant, powerful roles.

I have a fairly un-useful role as it stands, so I can be well augmented by being elected.

Also, I'm blue.

However, I won't claim. My role might be useful later, I'm not sure... Seeing as scum can and will just blatantly lie (and will have to anyway), forcing the actual townies to also claim to get elected seems silly. You might disagree, but then you'd be a poo-poo head.

If I can get elected without claiming, I'll take it. It seems unlikely, but whatever.

Is there logic in the votes? I don't know. Can there be logic in the votes? Yes.

MLT has pointed out that Destiny has had activity issues in recent games.

MH voted for Destiny noting that a Council spot might spur him to be more active.

Presumably, the Council Members are important, therefore, it makes more sense to select people that have a history of being consistently active.

Very valid point so I guess going by that I shall:

Change elect: mjdgoldeneye

Hands down one of the more active players we have so we know he shall be around. He claims to have a weaker role at this time. I will say that I do not trust him (because anyone can say anything and until proven otherwise we shall not know) or anyone for that matter but I am willing to give him a shot for now.

Pushing this some more:

This is a good question. Perhaps something you should direct toward her and not me. Do not mistake not stating any logic for not having any logic though.

She may have sensible reasons for voting for me, she may not. Her vote may quickly flutter away from me and onto someone else.

The difference between MLT and MH's votes is simple: MLT did not offer a logic (and maybe she should be pushed to do so), BH offered rationale based on the fact that (a) he likes Destiny (this is irrelevant to me, I like Destiny too, but I'm not voting on people just because I like them) and (b) because being on the Council might be "good to give him encouragement to stick in at the game".

This directly implies that MH acknowledges that Destiny may not "stick in" at the game.

I prefer to give the Council seats to folks that are likely to be engaged in the game and not to wave them around as some carrot to prompt activity.

But maybe that's just me.

/waves his fist at BHK for posting when he was posting.

Anyhow, my other main point is that you are right: we should try to figure out the logic/rationale for why people are supporting the people that they are supporting.

This might help us to make better choices for the Council and give some useful information for later in the game.

Having said all of that: I am unopposed to MJD being on the Council.

Well thus far it seems people either voted for people they like and or respect. Or they have voted for people because they believe these people gave valid enough reasons for them to cast a vote. In some cases I am thinking that we probably have a Scum teammate voting on another Scum. I am not sure who they are but I have to assume that is the case.

No vote really stands out to me as being off, well maybe the Jman vote...
