Week 3, October 1997
United Centre (Chicago, Illinois)
ATT: 20,000
PPV BUY: 2.16
Announce Team: Jim Ross, Jerry "The King" Lawler & Ravishing Rick Rude

".....a cage no one can enter.....
.....a hell no man can escape.....
.....there's nowhere to run.....
.....nowhere to hide.....
.....no one to stop the carnage.....
.....tonight......
.....Brian Pillman.....
.....Mankind.....
.....Hell.....in a Cell....."

".....Ladies and Gentlemen It's Sunday night....October 19....mark the date on your calendars folks, because on THIS night the world will bear witness to a creation delivered to us by the Devil himself.....a structure so dangerous and demonic in conception, that it can only be described as Hell....in a Cell....."

.....the opening promo video plays and Jim Ross welcomes us to WWF Badd Blood, before introducing his colleagues for the evening....and yes, that is plural....because along with Ravishing Rick Rude, joining us at the broadcast position this evening is none other than Jerry "The King" Lawler.....a man who called his last Pay Per View match almost one year ago to the day at 1996's October In Your House event.....

......on that night, Mankind was defeated by the Big Red Monster Kane....while Brain Pillman (and Stone Cold Steve Austin) was defeated by Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, losing the WWF Tag Team Titles in the process......tonight, one of these men could lose so much more than a match....they could lose their very careers, because they are stepping into a steel structure built to maim, mangle and mutilate.....not to mention THREE big title matches.....

.....Owen Hart defends the Intercontinental Championship against Scott Hall, the New Age Outlaws put the Tag Team Gold on the line against Al Snow and Chris Candido....and yes, the big one....as defending WWF Champion Ahmed Johnson faces not one, but two men in Bret Hart and Steve Austin....and the Champion doesn't even have to be pinned to lose his Championship....let's get straight into the action, because we have a long night ahead.....

.....and we are indeed opening up with Championship action.....Intercontinental Championship action that is, as the war between the Hart Foundation and the Wolfpac continues, with Scott Hall looking to pick up what you COULD call a record breaking fifth Intercontinental Championship, but his current four reigns with the belt is ALREADY a record.....so, an extra record breaking fifth Intercontinental Championship reign I guess?......

.....Scott Hall actually has some history when it comes to Intercontinental Title shots at the United Centre....this arena was the home to Summerslam 1994, the event in which Hall began his second reign with the belt, defeating Kevin Nash in the process.....while Owen Hart of course had a less successful night that evening, losing to brother Bret in a steel cage match for the WWF Championship.....

.....despite the Bad Guy's current flaws (injury, time decline) this really was a fantastic match....it's a shame that Hall has spent the last year plagued with an Achilles injury, because even under those circumstances he's put on some outstanding displays....it will be interesting to see what he can do when he's given a clean bill of health, because in about a months time (31 days to be precise) we may well have an injury free Scott Hall to contend with......

.....injury or not, the Bad Guy starts out strong in this one, and as the bell rings he pie faces Owen Hart, before arrogantly tossing that toothpick into the face of the Champion......that infuriates Owen, who charges at Hall, only to get hip-tossed halfway across the ring.....Owen jumps back to his feet to charge the challenger again, ducking under a clothesline attempt, running the ropes, and letting fly with a cross-body block.....

.....which Hall catches.....

.....before tossing Hart overhead with that S.o.S (Sack of Sh!t) Fallaway Slam, and the crowd goes nuts, clearly well and truly behind the Wolfpac man here tonight in Chicago.....

.....Owen uses the momentum of that move to roll under the bottom rope to the outside, where he spends a few minutes stalling, composing himself.....and generally riling up the crowd....Hall gets fed up of waiting and jumps to the outside after the challenger, who quickly flees again, this time rolling under the bottom rope, back into the ring....and as Hall follows back him in, Owen drops a knee to the spine of the number one contender, before going straight on the offence.....

.....now the King of Harts slows the pace down, continuing to soften up the back of the challenger, while still maintaining a deliberate assault to that damaged foot (Achilles) as well, and it's not long before the Bad Guy is looking in pretty bad shape as Owen's confidence grows and he starts verbally berating the Wolfpac member throughout his assault....he whips Hall into the ropes and the Bad Guy ducks the initial clothesline attempt, only for Owen to catch him with that patented belly-to-belly suplex on the return....

....Owen mounts the back of his challenger, before locking Hall into the Steiner Recliner, telling Hall that his muscle-headed buddy isn't here to save him now, leaving Jim Ross to remark that he's not sure that antagonising Scott Steiner is such a good idea....turns out that antagonising Scott Hall wasn't such a good idea either, because in an impressive display of strength the Bad Guy is able to power all the way to his feet, before dropping the King of Harts with an Electric Chair Drop......

.....Hall tries to regain the advantage, whipping Owen into the corner, but Hart gets his feet up on the charge that Hall follows up with, then drops down to make a quick cover (putting his feet on the ropes for extra leverage) and is a hairs width away from the victory when the official spots the feet on the ropes.....still near the corner, Owen backs up and mounts the second turnbuckle, coming off with an elbow that's very reminiscent of his brothers for another near fall.....

.....Owen arrogantly dusts off his hands, yelling at the crowd that this one is over, before picking up Halls legs for the Sharpshooter attempt.....Hall is able to kick him off, but can't take control of the match, at least not until Owen attempts a hurracanrana, on a rope running sequence, which a weary Scott Hall is able to counter into a powerbomb variation. We may well have looking at a new Champion had Hall been able to make the cover sooner, but he was too spent and took to long to drape an arm over the Intercontinental Champion, and Hart was able to get his shoulder up before the three......

......the two men get back to their feet and begin to trade blows.....Hall gets the upper hand in that exchange, leading to Owen raking him in the eyes before attempting an Irish Whip into the corner which Hall reverses, leading to Owen crashing into the turnbuckles with that trademark Hart sternum-first corner bump.....

.....Hall drags Owen to the middle of the ring, getting him into position for the Razors Edge, but Owen rolls through and lands on the mat behind him, rolling him up for another near fall....back on their feet and Owen goes for a kick to the gut, which Hall catches....only for Hart to nail him right in the back of the head with an enziguri.....and the Owen does finally manage to apply the Sharpshooter....right in the middle of the ring.....

.....the commentators talk about the legitimate Achilles Injury that Scott Hall has been working through for over a year now, stating between that and the damage Owen has inflicted on the back during this match, he must be in agony right now.....and he is.....but he somehow manages to claw to the ropes to break up the submission attempt......the Official tells Owen to break the hold, leading to Owen celebrating like Hall submitted and he just won (when blatantly he knows that's not true).....

.....the action continues, and even though Hall is in pain, he is still able to get back into the fight, again whipping Owen hard into the turnbuckles, looking for that sternum-first bump again.....this time however Owen is ready for it, and he leaps up and lands on the second rope....he feints a reverse dive/crossbody and Hall drops to the mat to avoid it, leading Owen to laugh and turn back to the crowd, tapping a finger against his head to signify how smart he is......

.....not that smart apparently.....because he's still on the second turnbuckle.....and he's facing the crowd.....which means he's in the perfect position for Scott Hall to walk up behind him, turn back to back....and pull him off the turnbuckles into position for the Razors Edge, driving him hard into the mat for the one......the two......and the three......and just like that, the Bad Guy is a five time WWF Intercontinental Champion.....and the Wolfpac have all the momentum going into tonight's WWF Championship triple threat match.

Winner: ....and New WWF Intercontinental Champion.....Scott Hall

Leaving Scott Hall to celebrate his monumental victory in the ring we head to the back, where Dok Hendrix is standing by with Booker T and Stevie Ray ahead of their Falls Count Anywhere: Chicago Street Fight with the Dogs of War......

....Dok says that this battle has been waging on for some time now, but no team has yet picked up a clear and concise victory....tonight however, there will be no doubt that whoever wins this fight (because let's face it, it's not going to be a match) will have earned their victory, because there are no rules....no count outs....no disqualifications.....and falls count anywhere....

....Stevie Ray says that you're damn right they're gonna earn their victory tonight....he says that they've been playing ball with the Dogs of War for too long now, well tonight, they're gonna make those mutts sit...beg...roll over...and play dead...except it the Harlem Heat take this to the streets of Chicago, then there won't be no "playing" about it, because he and his brother will put those sucka's to sleep once and for all.....

....Booker agree's, telling Dok that for as much as he likes Al Snow, if there was going to be a title shot going to anyone tonight then it should have been the Harlem Heat getting a chance at the gold....but it's alright, because once he and his brother finish neutering the Dogs tonight, you can be damn sure that their next stop will be the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championships........

....of course, they've got to actually get by Wrath and Crush first.....no easy feat.....especially when these Dogs of War crash the interview, blindsiding Booker and Stevie.....and they have a referee in tow.....looks like this one is getting underway in the back.....

Falls Count Anywhere: Chicago Street Fight

.....and it is indeed a good old fashioned Chicago Street Fight....and our competitors have even come dressed for the occasion, because there are no tights to be seen....both teams are clad in denim and t-shirts, and those fists are taped good and tight.....

.....all four of these men look like they've been in a few back alley fights in their lives, especially Booker and Stevie who grew up on 110th Street in Harlem (which is obviously a district of Houston, Texas right?) while you don't name yourself Wrath or Crush if you don't know how to fight.....

.....the Falls Count Anywhere element of this match are highlighted immediately, with Crush making the cover right there in the back after bouncing Stevie Ray's head off the wall....he only gets a one count, but it reminds people of what we are in store for here during this one.....

.....the Dogs of War may have the element of surprise, but it doesn't take the Heat too long to get back into this one, and soon the backstage area becomes a battleground as these four men proceed to use every available surface to punish their opponent with....they crash out of the interview area and battle their way through the arena, until they finally burst through some doors and into the public areas of the arena, scattered with places to purchase food and drink, shirts, hats, and other general memorabilia, which leads to Booker T choking the life out of Crush with a Chicago Bulls jersey, while Wrath attempts to shove a Blackhawks shirt down Stevie Rays throat.....

.....the two teams gain quite the audience as they work their way around the arena, with a number of near falls happening along the way, until Booker finally Irish Whips Wrath through the doors of a public bathroom, following him inside where he bounces his head off the wall.....not to be outdone, Crush and Stevie follow their partners inside, where Crush slams Stevie face first onto a sink, before making the cover right there in the bathroom.....it's only good for two, and thankfully for the hygiene of all concerned the action soon heads back out as the four men continue their war....they haven't even made it out in front of the live crowd yet, and it doesn't look like they're going to, because they're heading in completely the opposite direction.....

.....the two teams wind up battling down by the ticket gates, until they finally exit the building completely, as this Street Fight heads outside the arena and into the parking area, and after making the use of the internal environment a few moments ago, there's just as much fun to be had outside, although not if you're a car owner, because that might be your 1987 Cadillac DeVille that Booker T just got backdropped onto.....Crush makes the cover right there on the parking lot floor, but Stevie Ray breaks it off with what looks to be a metal parking sign.....Wrath comes to the aid of his partner, but he too takes a shot to the skull from the sign, before Stevie hits what looked to be a modification of a spine buster, bouncing Wrath off the hood of a car, making the cover right there for two.....

.....given the nature of this match, it was never going to go long.....it was too high impact, too high octane, and the human body can only go full out for so long.....and since this is a Falls Count Anywhere Street Fight, the finish came right out there on the street.....because as Wrath charges at Booker T, Booker sidesteps the onslaught, grabs his opponent by the back of the head, and uses Wrath's own momentum to smash the Dog of War's head straight through the (gimmicked) passenger side window of a parked car.....Booker makes the cover right out there on the concrete, and three seconds later Harlem Heat can finally turn their attention away from the Dogs of War, and focus their onslaught on the WWF Tag team Championships, because the stalemate has been broken here tonight, and it's Harlem Heat that walk out victorious.

We leave the streets now and head back inside the arena where we go to Michael Cole, who is standing by with the owner of the World Wrestling Federation, Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon, along with his Faux Horsemen, Brian Pillman, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, and the Big Red Problem Solver Kane.....and the boss looks to be in a particularly good mood this evening, a fact which Cole asks him about......

.....McMahon says that of course he's in a good mood....everything is right with the world, because tonight is the night that Kane finally puts an end to the Texas Rattlesnakes party.....he says that Austin has been running around disrupting his shows, interrupting matches.....and worst of all....placing his hands on the Boss.....well in a few short minutes, he won't be placing his hands on anything ever again....because Kane is going to Chokeslam him straight to hell......

......and then with Austin out of the occasion, maybe it's time that we crowned a few Corporate Champions around here.....after all, you've got tag team champions going around telling people to "Suck it"....whatever "it" is......and you've got challengers who are either insane or street fighting thugs.....that's not corporates idea of a champion.....OUR champions would have class....prestige.........experience.....champions like say, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson......

"....that's right Mr. McMahon.....and next....right here in Chicago.....The Nature Boy and The Enforcer are going to walk that aisle, looking only as they can look.....to erase a rare mistake....a seven foot mistake by the name of Psycho Sid.....and Windham, pal.....we had no problem with you brother, you always served us well......but when you stood side by side with Sid instead of the two men that buttered your bread and made you rich.....well, you made the biggest mistake of your life.....because TONIGHT....you find out....that while fame and fortune can be temporary, Diamonds are forever.......and so are Ric Flair and The Enforcer.....Woooooooooo......"

.....and then, Mr. McMahon says, there's the little matter of the World title.....held by a disrespectful thug, being challenged for by a degenerate and a crybaby......none of those men screams "Face of the WWF" to Corporate......but this man right here.....the Corporate Cannon Brian Pillman.....once he's survived Hell in a Call tonight, will there be ANY doubt who the true number one contender is?.....Pillman lets out his signature wide eyed cackle, before turning to the camera.....

"......indeed there won't....because as The Crowned Prince of Chaos scratches and claws his way out of the mouth of hell, leaving the battered and bloody corpse of Mankind in his wake....a new power will ascend the throne....a new ruler with an iron fist and a fractured mind.....Mankind, tonight, the Corporate Cannon will prove that no matter what you do.....no matter where you do it.....YOU....CANNOT.....BEAT.....ME......and when the dust settles.....and you're crawling home a broken man.....the Corporate Cannon will be firing straight towards the World Wrestling Federation Championship......"

It's back down to ring side now.....after all, the live crowd must be getting restless considering they've seen no action since our (admittedly awesome) opening contest.....sure they saw our Street Fight up on the big screens, but that's not the same......and can you think of a better wrestler to breath the life back into a crowd than the Nature Boy Ric Flair?.......

.....it's Horsemen vs. Horsemen as Flair and Anderson face off against Psycho Sid and Barry Windham.....and this match was so much better than it had any right to be.....you had four men with a combined age of 160......one of whom was Psycho Sid.....it went all of 14 minutes.....and it was still awesome......guess that's the Ric Flair influence for you.....

.....the majority of the match was centred around the Corporate Duo attempting to neutralise the size and strength of Sid, by doing everything they can to keep him out of the match.....the babyfaces started strong, but it was Windham that found himself in the role of face in peril, as Flair and Anderson cut the ring in half, focusing on the leg of the man from Sweetwater, presumably in an effort to weaken it for Flair's Figure Four.....and it worked for the most part.....at least until Windham was able to drop Anderson with a Bulldog, and crawl his way over to Sid's outstretched hand for the tag.....

......the man who claims to be the Master and Ruler of the World hits the ring then, and he nails Anderson and Flair with big stiff right hands, before dropping the Enforcer with a Big Boot and dumping Flair to the outside.....

......Windham gets back into the fray and the match breaks down as tag team matches tend to do, with Psycho Sid and The Enforcer battling it out, while Windham and The Nature Boy go at it.....Flair goes inside out in the corner....runs the apron....and heads up top......no one knows why, because it never goes well......doesn't go will here either.....but instead of getting tossed to the mat, Windham clips the leg of the Nature Boy, crushing Space Mountain onto the top turnbuckles, before climbing up to the second rope, presumably looking for that patented Superplex.....

.....before he can deliver it however, Anderson whips Sid into the corner, where he collides with the back of Windham....Barry crashes to the mat and Flair drops down too, where he sends Sid to the outside before following him as well.....Windham struggles back to his feet, but Anderson is there and waiting with that DDT of his....and as Flair clings onto Sid's leg for dear life on the outside, preventing him from breaking up the pin, Anderson covers and gets the one, two, three.

Winner(s): Ric Flair & Arn Anderson

We go to Dok Hendrix in the back now, who's inside the locker room of the Hart Foundation....and the atmosphere is NOT a happy one following Owen Hart's defeat at the hands of Scott Hall earlier in the evening.....Bret sits lacing up his boots....Test stands stoically in the corner of the room, looking out for danger....Owen and Jericho on the other hand are very animated, hamming it up and making excuses for the Intercontinental Title loss (Hall cheated....the official was paid off....Owen's shoulder was off the mat....Hall submitted to the Sharpshooter) none of it is true, but hey, they're heels....heels lie....

.....Bret finally finishes lacing his boots and climbs to his feet, putting a stop to Owen and Jericho's tirade.....he says that by now, if there's one thing the Hart Foundation are used to, it's fighting through adversity.....he says that he and Owen jumped through hoops for near on six months to get a shot at the WWF Tag Team Title shot.....when they got that shot they took the belts.....Owen had to defeat two men to win that Intercontinental Championship in the first place....he did it once, he'll do it again......

......Bret says that he earned a one on one shot at the WWF Title last month, and then got screwed out of any chance of winning by Kevin Nash.....he came back from that and he EARNED another one on one shot at Ahmed Johnson tonight, only to get screwed out of of that one on one opportunity when Kevin Nash once again stuck his nose in, making it a triple threat.....well that's ok.....because adversity is what makes a Champion, and rest assured Bret Hart is the true definition of a Champion.....

......Owen, Jericho and Test move in closer to surround Bret, as The Hitman says that tonight...one way or another...the WWF Title WILL be in the possession of the Hart Foundation....because with Jericho, Test, and his brother Owen watching his back, there is no way on gods green earth that the rest of the Wolfpac will be able to screw the Hitman out of a victory....meaning that all Bret Hart has to do, is go out there tonight and win a wrestling match....and winning wrestling matches is what the Hitman does best.

With that we go back down to ringside, and it's time for the arrival of the Big Red Problem Solver, Kane.....not only that, but after weeks of waiting, Vince McMahon may FINALLY get that retribution he's been waiting for.....because if there's one thing Kane does will, it's punish people......

.....of course, Stone Cold Steve Austin isn't your usual opponent....and if Kane punishes, then the Rattlesnake just Whoops Ass....and seven foot tall or not, it doesn't matter.....Austin has bested much bigger men plenty of times in his career, one more doesn't matter a hell to him....

.....the crowd is solidly behind Stone Cold in this one, there really is do doubt as to who the number one face in the company is, and despite Mr. McMahon's dislike of the Rattlesnake the arena explodes when that glass shatters and Austin walks the aisle....

.....the match itself was always going to be more of a fight than a wrestling match, but it was a damn good fight, and certainly one of the best contests on the card as Austin is straight on the attack the second the bell rings, hammering the Big Red Monster with right hand after right hand that snaps Kane's head to the side with each blow.....it doesn't put the Monster down however, and Stone Cold's flurry of fists is answered with a single blow by Kane that knocks the Rattlesnake on his ass......

.....if McMahon wanted to see Steve Austin punished then he must have been relishing watching this one in the back, because for every ten blows delivered by Austin that DIDN'T put his opponent down, Kane answered with a single blow that left the Rattlesnake laying, leaving the commentary team to question exactly what in the hell Steve Austin was going to do to get the victory here, win Rude quipping that Austin doesn't need to worry about getting the victory, he needs to worry about surviving the Big Red Monster.....

.....the action spills to the outside, where Stone Cold has marginally more luck in weakening the beast....even pushing the official to his limit as he chokes the life out of Kane with an electrical cable.....he goes so far as to attempt a piledriver right out there on the floor, but Kane is too big and winds up reversing out of it with a backdrop that leaves Austin laying.....

......which is about the time that Mr. McMahon decides he wants to get a better view of the destruction of the Rattlesnake, making his way out from the back with a large security guard on either side of him.....

......Kane tosses Stone Cold back into the ring and continues to beat down his opponent, with Vince shouting words of encouragement the whole way.....eventually the pair find themselves back on the outside, where Kane looks to send Austin into the steel steps....Austin reverses it however, changing his trajectory so that instead of crashing into the steel steps Kane collides with the two security guards.....

......McMahon looks at Kane (who is down) and his security detail (also down) then looks up at Austin (who is most certainly NOT down) before letting out a very worried looking gulp.....and diving into the ring out of harms way.....

......except it's not out of harms way.....because Austin follows him right back inside, where he proceeds in beating the holy hell out of the boss....

......Kane pulls himself back to his feet and re-enters the ring, where he charges at Austin.....Stone Cold sees him coming however and swings McMahon into the monsters path, leading to the owner of the WWF eating a huge clothesline from his own Problem Solver......Kane stares down at his boss for a second, before turning back to face Austin......

.....who kicks him in the gut and nails him with a Stone Cold Stunner.....

.....it doesn't take the Monster off his feet however....and Kane is still standing.....he's groggy....he's swaying....but he's still on his feet......so Austin simply flips him the double bird.....

......and Stuns him again.....

.....that second one put the Monster down....and with McMahon down right next to him, Steve Austin makes the cover.....gets the three.....and picks up a hard fought victory right here at Badd Blood.....

Winner: Steve Austin

....Austin rolls right off Kane and rolls right on top of McMahon, where he proceeds to unleash a flurry of right hands, talking trash right in the face of the boss the whole time.....Kane suddenly sits up like a b-movie monster, just as Flair and Anderson come running out from the back to help out McMahon.....

....before anyone can get a hold of the Rattlesnake however, Austin rolls out of the ring, grabs a microphone, and hightails it into the crowd.....

....Flair, Anderson and Kane help Mr. McMahon back to his feet, and the boss looks furious at suffering yet another assault at the hands of Stone Cold, grabbing a microphone of his own and demanding that Austin get back in this ring and fight him like a man.....Jim Ross says that Vince McMahon is suddenly very confident now that he's surrounded by Kane, Anderson and Flair (while Rick Rude disagrees, stating that everyone knows that Vince McMahon could take Steve Austin....a statement that Ross and the King find laughable).....Austin is a tough S.o.B....he's not stupid though....telling McMahon to send all his cronies to the back and he'd be happy to whip his ass one more time......

".....hell son, if there's one think Steve Austin like more than drinking a cold beer it's....actually, there's nothing Steve Austin likes more than drinking a cold beer....but whipping Vince McMahon's ass comes a close second.....now I could come down there right now....I could slap your little problem solver around some more....I could take your geriatric helpers there and break their hips.....I could damn sure take Vince McMahon and slap that stupid looking toupee off his head again.....but the bottom line son, is that Stone Cold Steve Austin is a busy man, and I've got things to do......"

....Austin says that there's three jackasses fighting for the WWF Title tonight, and not a one of them is fit to lace up Stone Cold's boots....so what he's going to do right now, is go back there, open up a six pack....watch that triple threat match.....and wait to see which one of those sumbitches he's gonna have to whip to become the WWF Champion.....

".....and if you want Steve Austin to become your next World Wrestling Federation Champion, gimme a "Hell Yeah"......"

....predictably the response from the crowd is extremely positive....it looks like they are ready for Austin to finally get a shot at the big one....Austin is ready to finally get his shot at he big one.....McMahon however might take a little bit more convincing, as he tells Austin that he will get a WWF Title shot over his dead body.......

".....hell son, be careful what you wish for, because that can be arranged.....now you don't have to like it, but you can take it from Stone Cold.....and that the fact that Stone Cold Steve Austin will be the World Wrestling Federation Champion.....there ain't a damn thing you can do about it, and that's the bottom line.....because Stone Cold said so....."

VS.

Ok.....it's time for our WWF Tag Team Title match.....and unlike last months meeting between these two teams, this one IS actually a championship match....Jim Ross informs us that we were scheduled to go over to Michael Cole to get some pre-match comments from our challengers, but Al Snow of all people refused the interview time, stating that he and Candido needed to prepare for this contest.....

.....the two teams make their way out, and Snow does look oddly focused.....there is no Al-Vatar mask in sight, and sure, while he still has Head with him, he's not arguing with her as he often is.....even Candido doesn't seem to be overly concerned by the presence of Sunny, both men know what they have to do, and that's all they're thinking about.....

.....these two teams have come a long way in a short length of time....in fact neither of these teams even made it onto the main show at Wrestlemania, instead they were relegated to the pre-show, and for Snow and Candido it was their first night as a team, two men that "creative had nothing for" just thrown together for the sake of getting them somewhere on the card....sometimes though, these thrown together teams can surprise you.....Al Snow on his own only has Head to bounce off (and that could get real old, real quick) while Candido is not what you would call the most charismatic character on the roster.....together though they really compliment each other......much like (ironically enough) our current champions, the New Age Outlaws.....where The Road Dogg's natural charisma is emphasised by Billy Gunn's popularity.....

.....the Champions may not have been taking Snow and Candido particularly seriously last month and that wound up biting them in the ass as this "funny little team" wound up defeating them....luckily for the Outlaws (and unbeknown to everyone else) the title weren't on the line that night....tonight they are, and the Outlaws aren't playing games....Snow and Candido get the initial flurry of offence, but it's not long before Gunn and James do what they do best....cheat to get the advantage.....

.....Snow is the recipient of the heels period of offence, before he finally tags out to his partner and Candido goes on a tear....Snow gets back into the action, and it's not long until the official has lost all semblance of control, as this one breaks down into a brawl.....

......the Outlaws have stolen a victory on more than one occasion during their reign, and they look to do that again here tonight, with the Road Dogg snatching up Head from ringside and looking to wallop Snow in the back of the skull......which is when Sunny slides into the ring.....and with the official focusing on Candido and Gunn, she reaches up and snatches Head from the hands of the Road Dogg.....Jesse James turns and yells at Sunny to get the hell out of there....and she does....letting out a little squeal as she goes.....

.....the Road Dogg turns back to continue his assault of Al Snow....except Al Snow is waiting.....and he scoops up the Road Dogg, before driving him into the mat with the Snow Plow.....and three seconds later, finally.....FINALLY.....Al Snow and Chris Candido have done it.....they are the NEW WWF Tag Team Champions of the world.

Winner: ....and New WWF Tag Team Champions.....Al Snow & Chris Candido

As we leave behind the celebrating Snow, Candido....and yes, even Sunny who is allowed to get in on the action, we go to the back, where Michael Cole is standing by with the Worlds Most Dangerous Man, Ken Shamrock.....

....Cole says that this past Monday night, Ken Shamrocks temper once again got the better of him....but THIS time, it wasn't himself that paid for it, it was the now former WWF European Champion Matt Hardy, who thanks to Shamrocks actions (and after valiantly defending the title against any and all comers in the preceding months) lost the gold to the Million Dollar Corporations Jeff Jarrett......

....Shamrock at least has the decency to look regretful about that, telling Cole that he takes full responsibility for that, apologising to Matt Hardy, who he refers to as one of the most fighting champions in recent memory, before saying that one way or another, he's going to make the Million Dollar Corporation.....and ESPECIALLY Jeff Jarrett pay for their actions.....because he's going to take away their only equity.....the WWF European Championship......

".....woah, woah, woah.....I'm I hearing this right?....."

......apparently the former champion has something to say on the matter, as he comes walking into shot.....

"......let me get this straight.....you're going to make it up to ME.....for costing ME the European Championship.....by taking MY European Championship for yourself?.....is that about right?......"

......Shamrock goes to speak, but (much to his obvious annoyance) Hardy cuts him off.....he tells Ken that he knew he had a temper.....he knew he had a short fuse.....but he didn't know that he was a selfish son of a bitch too......

......Hardy says that he defended that title with pride each and every week.....he EARNED that title by defeating three other men....Shamrock included......in one match......Hardy says that he made the European Title one of the most coveted championships in all of Wrestling, by EARNING the respect of the fans and by never backing down from a challenge......if Ken Shamrock thinks he's going to get a shot at that title, then he's going to have to EARN it.......by facing Matt Hardy, tomorrow night on Raw......

"......you beat me, I'll step aside and let you go all guns blazing for Jeff Jarrett.....I beat YOU....then you stay far away from MY championship match.....so far away that that little temper of yours doesn't cost me MY championship again......"

......Hardy outstretched his hand, asking Shamrock if they have a deal? Ken doesn't even hesitate, telling Matt that they do indeed have a deal.....and a match......and he'll see him tomorrow night on Raw.

We stay in the back, moving from the interview area to the locker room of the Wolfpac, where Scott Hall is celebrating his fifth reign as WWF Intercontinental Champion, along with Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, Scott Steiner, and Sable.....a reign made all the sweeter by the fact that it's come at the expense of Owen Hart.....

.....Dok says that the Wolfpac picked up a big win in their war with the Hart Foundation earlier this evening, and the night could get even better for the 'Pac later this evening....because not only could they be holding the Intercontinental Championship, but should Kevin Nash overcome the obstacles that are Ahmed Johnson and Bret Hart, they could well end the night in possession of the WWF Championship too.....

.....Nash says that there is no "could" about it.....he says that Scott went out there and set the standard to open the show....and make no mistake about it, you are looking at the next World Wrestling Federation Champion right here in Big Sexy.....

".....look, it's no secret that the Wolfpac and the Hart Foundation, we still got some things to work through.....and Bret Hart, he's in for the same treatment from Big Sexy as his baby brother got from the Bad Guy......but Ahmed Johnson, don't think for one minute that you're in for an easy night buddy......you put me through a table......ME......you don't put Kevin Nash through a table, not unless you've got a death wish......

.....Ahmed, you did the big thing.....you did the unthinkable.....you shocked the world when you defeated my man here Scott Steiner at Summerslam....but it all ends tonight.....because Daddy's home.....and Big Daddy Cool, he wants his belt back......."

.....Dok asks Scott Steiner what he's doing here......are the Wolfpac looking to expand n numbers? Steiner says no......

".......I MEAN SURE, EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT IF THERES ONE THING THAT BIG POPPA PUMP LIKES, IT'S DOING THINGS IN THREE'S.....BUT THIS AIN'T THE KIND OF THREESOME THAT THIS GENETIC FREAK LIKES DOK......

......I'M HERE TONIGHT TO MAKE SURE THAT CHRIS "THE B!TCH" JERICHO KEEPS HIS MAPLE SNIFFING NOSE OUT OF THE WORLD TITLE MATCH.....AND IF I HAVE TO SHOVE HIS SCRAWNY BODYGUARD UP HIS ASS TO DO IT, THEN THATS EXACTLY WHAT I'LL DO......IN FACT, I'LL SHOVE TEST SO FAR UP HIS ASS, THAT THE ONLY BIT OF JERICHO'S BODY THAT HE'LL BE ABLE TO GUARD, WILL BE HIS SPHINCTER....."

.....lovely words from Big Poppa Pump right there...he has the heart of a poet he really does.....but for now it's back down to ringside, for what could well prove to be a VERY heated contest.......

.....because it's time for Jake "The Snake" Roberts to face "The Deity of the Damned" Raven....and to say that there is some Badd Blood between these two would be an understatement....as what was originally a redemption story rapidly took a very dark turn...and what started alive with good intentions, ended with the brutal assault (and crucifixion) of Jake Roberts priest....and it's that very same priest that we have a shot of now, sat front row as Jim Ross informs us that he is an invited guest of the World Wrestling Federation tonight, a small apology from everyone here at the WWF for Raven's action.....

.....much like our earlier Horsemen/Horsemen bout, this match far exceeded my expectations....sure both men are fantastic talkers, there is no question about that, but in terms of physical condition Jake Roberts is 42 years old, at LEAST five years past his prime, and that's without the added strain that years of drink and drug abuse have added to his body....even with those mitigating factors, coupled with the fact that this only went a little over 15 minutes, this match was still very, very good......but then this wouldn't be the first time that Raven has surprised with the quality of his matches, having had previous near five star matches with opponents as opposite on the spectrum as The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio.....

.....Jake promised that he would show his one time protégé no mercy here tonight, and as the bell rings it looks as though he's a man of his word....both men come face to face for a moment in a tense scene, before a cocky smirk breaks out on the face of Raven, and Jake Roberts punches him square in the jaw....A fist fight breaks out, with The Snake getting the better of the exchange......Raven is finally able to get free, but Jake catches hold of his opponent again and sends him into the ropes with an Irish whip, followed up a back elbow....short clothesline by Jake, who indicates that he's finishing this one early as he tries to hook on the DDT......

.....Raven has adopted that move as his own however, and he's able to wriggle free from Roberts grip, rolling to the outside where he taunts the Snake with that now signature "crucifix" pose....Jake follows his rival to the outside, but Raven was clearly banking on that, driving Jake back first into the ring apron, before whipping him into the steel ring steps.....Jake is slow to his feet, and Raven drops to his knees in front of him, arms outstretched, asking him where his God is now, before laughing and quickly rolling the Snake back into the ring.....

........the two men begin trade fists, an exchange that the fired up Roberts gets the better of, only for Raven to reverse an Irish Whip attempt, sending Jake hard into the corner, then following that up with a running clothesline as the impact from the turnbuckles sends The Snake staggers forward......a suplex attempt by Raven is countered by Jake, with the counter-suplex attempt blocked by Raven, who quickly repositions Jake into a DDT grip....much like the earlier attempt however, now it's Jake that wriggles free....he goes for an Irish Whip, but Raven reverses that and on the rebound he sidesteps the Snake, using his own momentum to send him crashing through the middle ropes to the floor.....

.....Raven follows him out with a Double Axhandle off the apron to the floor, before dragging the Snake to his feet and driving him spine first into the ring post.....Raven rolls in and out of the ring again to break up the count, before delivering a series of bruising kicks to the midsection of the Snake, before once again dragging him to his feet and getting him into position for the Evenflow DDT right out there on the concrete.....luckily for Jake he's able to drive Raven back first into the guardrail to escape, before whipping the man with such force into the adjacent guardrail that Raven is very nearly upside down when his back hits the steel, landing on the concrete floor right in front of Jake's priest..........

.....Jake promised no mercy would be had in this match, and he looks true to his word as he drops to his knees, clutching Raven by the hair and repeatedly slamming the back of his head against the same steel guardrail that he's slumped against.....you'd think that would upset the former leader of the Flock, but apparently not....because after shaking off the cobwebs, Raven begins to laugh, telling his opponent to do it again.....split his skull.....spill his life blood......BE the darkness inside him.........release the Black Hearted Snake that he's always been........and prove Raven right......people never change, and no one and nothing in this world is worth saving......

......Jake looks up, and he's staring into the face of forgiveness......of redemption.....he's staring in the face of his priest (and friend) who tells Roberts that he doesn't have to do this.....he's not that man anymore......Raven disagrees however......kicking a chair over to the Snake, before getting himself up to his knees, outstretching his arms and telling Jake to do it.....he says that this priest doesn't know Jake.....these people don't know Jake.....Raven knows Jake......do it.....

.....Jake picks the chair up, but he looks conflicted....he clearly wants to take Raven's head off, but his priest is screaming at him not to do it......to turn the other cheek......to be the better man.....Raven screams as well....that Jake is not a better man.....Jake is as dark and twisted as he's ever been........do it........do it for these people.........do it for your friend...........do it for your priest (and with that Raven turns and pie faces the man of the cloth, shoving him back down to his seat, before turning back to Jake......screaming at him to do it)......."DO IT!".....and as he watches the man of God get shoved down, "It" is exactly what he does, as he brings the steel chair down hard over the head of Raven......

.....and THAT......is a disqualification folks.....and while this match is over......this war...... war may just have begun.........

Winner: Raven (via Disqualification)
Rating: B+

.....because Jake is incensed.....and he drags Raven back to his feet (steel chair still in hand) and tosses him back inside the ring.....he slides in after him and crashes the chair across the back of Raven, before throwing it down on the mat, dropping down beside the man, wrapping his hands around his throat, and proceeding to choke the life out of him.....

.....Raven may be struggling to breathe, but he has a look of almost euphoria on his face as the Snake chokes him, this is exactly what he wanted after all, to de-rail Jakes journey to redemption by proving without a shadow of a doubt that Jake Roberts is not a "good" man....and as Raven begins to turn blue, and the official fails to drag the Snake off him, he may well be proved right.......

.....that's when the priest has seen enough.....and he climbs overs the guard rail and into the ring, where he places a hand on Roberts shoulder.....the camera picks up his words as he tells Jake not to do this.....he says he's not this man anymore......not the man that disrupted the wedding reception of Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth.....not the man who set his King Cobra on the Ultimate Warrior......on Randy Savage.....not the man that slapped Elizabeth live on Pay Per View......not the man that DDT'd Paul Bearer on the set of the funeral parlour, trapped The Undertakers hand in a casket and then proceeded to punish him with vicious chair shots......Jake is NOT that man anymore......he's been reborn......and he doesn't have to do this.....not in the priest's name.....do as the bible advises.....turn the other cheek.......

.....finally Jake relents, releasing his grip on Raven (who lets out a loud gasp as he tries to replace the depleted oxygen in his lungs) and dropping his head in shame.....he turns to the priest to apologise, saying that he wanted to do it.....he wanted to make Raven suffer.....he wanted to let the old Jake out, before asking the priest if he's beyond redemption? The priest says no.....he stopped.....he wanted to do it, but he didn't.....NO ONE is beyond redemption.....

......that's when Raven smashes the steel chair across the back of the distracted Snake......before turning to face the nervous looking priest with a sick looking smile on his face.......

......he asks the man if he believes that?....does he truly believe that no one is beyond redemption?.....the priest swallows nervously, but tells Raven that yes......he believes that.....that through faith.....through prayer.....through forgiveness.....ANYONE can be saved.....before telling Raven that he came here tonight to tell him "that I forgive you"....

.....that probably wasn't the wisest thing to say to Raven, who frankly looks furious, grabbing the man by the shirt and screaming in his face that neither wants, nor needs his forgiveness.....

......Jake climbs back to his feet and makes a move to drag Raven away, but Raven spins around, arm across the throat of the priest using him as a human shield.....he tells Roberts that this man....that his false idols.....it makes him weak.....it makes him lesser than his whole, because he's holding back.....he's repressing his true self, blind to the fact that he's not on a road of redemption at all, but a road of deceit......he says that he can't see it.....he's too blinded by false hopes and false promises.......and if this priest is going to blind Jake to the truth......maybe Raven should return the favour.......

".....what is it that your bible says?.....an eye for an eye?......"

.......and with that Raven reaches up with his free hand and digs his thumb right into the eye of the priest, who screams out in agony before dropping to the mat and writhing in pain as he clutches at his face......

......Jake drops down to his knees beside the priest as Raven stands there laughing.....as Jim Ross apologises for what we have just witnessed, stating that once again Raven has crossed a line, before telling us that he's received word in his ear that in the interest of good taste (bit late for that Jimbo) we are going to cut away from this despicable scene and head to the back, as medical personnel attend to the screaming priest, as Jake Roberts looks on....a broken man.

And we do go to the back.....where Michael Cole is alongside Jim Cornette and the WWF Champion Ahmed Johnson.....Cole first apologises again for what we have just watched, with even Cornette calling Raven a sick puppy, before getting straight into his tirade......

.....he says that we've heard from Bret Hart.....we've heard from Kevin Nash.....but you've saved the best for last, because now you get to hear from James E. Cornette.....he says that what you're looking at right here is the true face of domination and destruction.....what you're looking at right here is a walking armageddon......this is the man that took out Rikishi.....that took out Kokina.....that took out the mighty Undertaker.....who defeated the seemingly unbeatable Scott Steiner.....Stone Cold Steve Austin......the man.......the ONLY man, to willingly fight for the right to defend his championship against TWO men....a punishment to most, a pleasure to Ahmed Johnson.......he's beat Kevin Nash.....he's beat Bret Hart.....tonight, he's going to beat them both at the same time, and there's not a damn thing anybody can do about it.......and after standing there looking menacing throughout, Ahmed takes the microphone to say that Bret Hart, Kevin Nash.........

".....you're going down....."

VS. VS.

It's a rare occasion when the WWF Championship match doesn't close the show.....but with the spectacle of the unknown that is the premier Hell in a Cell match looming on the horizon, I thought we could make an exception tonight.....and frankly, it was a good thing that we didn't have this match on last, because it did not go to plan at all, and frankly was one of the worst WWF Title matches in quite some time......and I can't even blame the competitors.....Kevin Nash and Ahmed Johnson, while not the worlds greatest wrestlers, managed to put on a good showing at Ground Zero......Bret Hart and Ahmed Johnson had a great match on Raw......there was no reason to think that the Hitman wouldn't continue his trend of carrying even mediocre workers to a good match......

......except somewhere along the way, Kevin Nash attempted to get Ahmed Johnson up in a Jacknife attempt.....an attempt that Ahmed was supposed to wriggle out of.....but either he landed funny, or Nash dropped him awkwardly.....either way he turned his ankle on the landing, and it effected the entire match......

......Ahmed has been known for being somewhat injury prone, but in close to two years now he's been completely healthy, so this was a huge blow....in fact, at first when he landed it looked like we would have to call an audible and remove him from the match, but being the WWF Champion must have toughened him up a little bit, because he was able to finish the match, even if he did do it at half pace.....

.....it wouldn't be until after the match that we would learn the full extent of his injury....ankle tendonitis.....almost the same injury that has plagued Scott Hall (who has Achilles tendonitis) for close to a year and a half now.....Ahmed won't need surgery, and he will be able to work through the injury....but it's an injury that's going to take fifteen months to fully heal.....and while Scott Hall has managed to put on some fantastic performances throughout his injury period (look at this evening for example) Ahmed Johnson ain't Scott Hall.....

.....given the no disqualification of these triple threat matches we had to improvise the finish a little bit, having Owen Hart, Chris Jericho, and Test make their way out to try and turn the match into the favour of the Hitman.....only for Scott Hall, Sean Waltman and Scott Steiner to head out as well.......and in the midst of a mass brawl, Owen Hart nailed Kevin Nash in the back of the head with a chair, before Ahmed sends Owen flying from the ring......and as Nash was the one to cause the injury, he was the one that got to eat the pinfall too, as Ahmed Johnson gets the one, the two, the three.....and puts an end to this disappointing match.....

Winner: ....and Still WWF Champion.....Ahmed Johnson

.....obviously, Nash being Nash he didn't sell the defeat for long.....and he was soon back to his feet, joining Hall, Waltman and Steiner on the outside, where the Wolfpac's seemingly never ending battle with the Hart Foundation rages on, as these eight men punch and kick and bit and claw their way all the way to the back.....will this war ever end?.....and if it does (asks Jim Ross) who will Survive? (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)......

.....Jim Cornette on the other hand is jubilant, as he collects the WWF Championship (and a microphone) from ringside, before handing the (limping) Champion his spoils of war.....

.....he tells the crowd that even on one leg, the best McMahon had to offer couldn't defeat the unstoppable Ahmed Johnson......there is no one man.....two men......or army of men in the WWF that can take this Championship from around the waist of the Walking Armageddon, Ahmed Johnson......in fact, there isn't a man walking the face of god's green earth that can stop Ahmed Johnson...........

.........which is when the lights go out.......

.....:::::!!!!!GONG!!!!!:::::.....

......and the crowd erupts......

.....:::::!!!!!GONG!!!!!:::::.....

......because when the lights turn back on.......

.....the Undertaker is standing right in front of a shocked looking Ahmed Johnson......

.....we haven't seen the Deadman since the King of the Ring back in June of this year....the same night that Ahmed Johnson was not only crowned King and number one contender to the WWF Championship, but the night that Ahmed Johnson crushed the larynx of the Undertaker, putting him on the shelf for four months.....well he's back.......and he looks madder than ever......

.....Jim Ross says that there may not be a man walking the face of the earth that can't defeat Ahmed Johnson, but the Undertaker is no man.....he's a phenom.....and you can be damn sure that he's out for revenge.....

......Ahmed Johnson's eyes almost bulge out of their head as he sees the man he once thought he had vanquished standing right in front of him.....but not not as much as they bulge when the Deadman snaps his arm forward, locks his hand around the throat of the WWF Champion, and lifts him high into the air, driving him hard into the mat with a hellacious Chokeslam.....

......Jim Cornette quickly grabs Ahmed by the arm and drags him to the outside away from the Deadman, as the Undertaker retrieves the WWF Championship from the mat and drops down to one knee holding the title overhead as the crowd cheers and we go to an extended recap video, highlighting the history between Brian Pillman and Mankind......because our Hell in a Cell match......is next.....

Hell in a Cell Match

....and it was an extended recap video for two reasons.....one, it gave the crowd a chance to calm down after the resurfacing of the Undertaker.....and two, well, the ring crew needed some time to ready the ominous structure that's been hovering over the ring all night.....but we're back.....the cell is lowered.....and we are ready for Mankind and Brian Pillman to enter the mouth of Hell......

......it's not until the Cell door is locked, and the bell rings, that Brian Pillman realises the full magnitude of the situation he finds himself in.....he has dominated in consecutive matches against Mick Foley's alter ego Dude Love, but this isn't Dude Love.....this is the Deranged One, Mankind.....and while Pillman has been able to run, hide, and escape from the clutches of Mankind in recent weeks, there will be no running here....no hiding....and certainly no escape....a fact emphasised the second the match starts, because Pillman runs for the door of the Cell, rattling frantically at it.....but the door doesn't give.....and it still doesn't give when Mankind follows him out and drives Pillman's head into it a series of times....and this one is underway.....

.....they're starting on the floor, and they're starting with Mankind hammering Pillman with blows to the head as he is backed up against the Cell door.....Pillman cuts him off with a knee to the guts and whips Mankind into the wall of the Cell, but Mankind rebounds straight off and drops Pillman to the floor with a spinning neckbreaker......the Corporate Cannon tries to head back into the ring, but Mankind drags him back under the bottom rope by his ankles to the floor, where he whips him into the ring steps and bounces his head off the ring post, before tossing him unceremoniously into the ring......Mankind reaches under the apron and pulls out a steel chair.....then follows the already overwhelmed Brian Pillman into the ring, where he bangs the chair on the mat a number of times (much the same way that Shawn Michaels would set up the Sweet Chin Music) as he waits for Pillman to stand up and turn around.....and when he does Mankind nails him right between the eyes......Mankind makes the cover.....and could probably have got the three count, but he pulls his opponents shoulder up off the mat before the official can register the final count.....clearly he's not ready to stop the carnage just yet.....

.....Pillman rolls to the floor to catch a breather.....Mankind follows.....and Pillman does manage a brief respite, catching his opponent with a knee lift, before hitting a series of punches to the head, a kick to the gut....and then positions him for a Piledriver attempt.....unfortunately Mankind reverses it, backdropping Pillman into the wall of the Cell.....Mankind is totally dominating his opponent here....this is certainly not the Dude Love that Pillman is used to facing.....he grates the Corporate Cannon's face down the wall of the Cell, before whipping him hard into the steel steps, followed up by the patented running knee strike that crashes the back of Pillman's head against the steel......Bang! Bang!......

......Mankind rolls the Cannon back inside, before reaching under the ring....he rummages about for a little bit, until he finally finds what he's looking for......a barbed wire 2x4!......and the crowd pops huge for that.....

.....he slides back into the ring and stalks Pillman, who begs off Ric Flair style.....Mankind isn't in the mood for begging however, and he continues to advance on his opponent with the weapon raised....he telegraphed the move for too long however, and Pillman was able to cut him off with a punch to the gut....he tries to wrestle the 2x4 from Mankind, but all he ends up doing is hurting his own hands on the barbs, allowing the Deranged One to drive the weapon into his midsection (doubling him over) nail him across the back (driving him down to the mat) and as Pillman shuffles backwards along the canvas begging off, Mankind nails him right in the balls with the barbed wire plank.......

.....Jim Ross remarks that this has been all Mankind....from the second the bell rang he has totally dominated Brian Pillman....Rick Rude says that the official needs to get that 2x4 out of the hands of Mankind before he does permanent damage, but as the King points out, there's nothing the referee can do here....it's all legal....

......Brian Pillman struggles back to his feet....but he's only standing for a moment, because Mankind runs straight through him, driving that barbed wire right between his eyes, before finally tossing the weapon down and heading to the outside....Mankind rummages under the ring and pulls out two steel chairs and a wooden table, the table he sets up on the floor, while the chairs get thrown into the ring, and as Mankind rolls back in under the bottom rope, we get a shot of Brian Pillman.....and he is bleeding like a stuck pig from that shot to the head.....

.....Pillman staggers around the ring, leaving a trail of blood as he goes, before finally tripping and stumbling through the ropes, landing on the outside....Mankind follows him out and charges the Corporate Cannon, who in a last ditch effort to save his own skin (life?) catches Mankind with a hip toss, which leaves the masked one to crash land right on top of the steel ring steps.....Pillman seizes the opportunity, and wipes the blood from his eyes as he snatches up one of the discarded chair's, smashing it against the knees of Mankind....dropping to his own knees for a moment to gather his strength, the Cannon pulls himself back to his feet using the wall of the Cell, before pulling Mankind up....he grabs his opponent by the hair, using both hands to grind the (minimal amount of) exposed flesh of his skull against the cell wall, before turning and whipping Mankind into the ring steps knee first, which Foley sells tremendously, taking the bump by flipping right over the steps, landing on his back in a heap up against the wall of the cell......

.....this is the first period of offence that Pillman has really enjoyed, because Mankind has completely dominated the match so far, but even this is fleeting, because as Brian tried to pull his opponent back to his feet, Mankind tackles him and drives him spine first into the apron.....Pillman tries to bolt for the door again, but it's not budging, and in desperation he runs around the ring (with Foley in pursuit) sliding under the bottom rope in an effort to escape....Mankind is slower to re-enter the ring, pulling himself up onto the apron....and is about to step between the ropes when Pillman charges at him and drives a shoulder into him, sending Mankind flying from the apron, where he crashes into the wall of the cell, bounces off that, and smashes through the table that he himself set up at ringside earlier.......

.....Pillman may finally have the upper hand, but he doesn't care.....he's had enough, and he frantically signals to the back.......

.....and the pyro explodes as the Big Red Monster makes his way out from the back.....

.....Mankind slowly starts pulling himself up from the wreckage of the shattered table, and Pillman starts urgently rattling on the door of the cell, screaming at Kane to hurry up....

.....he doesn't hurry, but he does get there.....and in an impressive display of strength, he grips the frame of the door with both hands and tears it completely off it's hinges.....

.....Pillman rushes through, barging Kane to one side and collapsing on the floor, shouting at The Big Red Problem Solver to get in there....Kane steps into the Cell, and goes towards Mankind....who swings a steel chair straight at his skull.....he strikes the Monster one, two.....three times.....and Kane is swaying......one more huge blow and Mankind has solved his own problem, because Kane falls like a big redwood.....

.....Mankind steps over Kane and through the cell door.....and Brian Pillman looks like he's seen a ghost.....he tries to bolt up the aisle, but Mankind gets there first, blocking his path.....he looks back at the door of the cell, and heading back inside there doesn't seem like such a good idea.......and then he looks up.....backs up......turns......and heads up......

.....the commentators can't believe that Pillman is scaling the side of the cell.....and the crowd erupts when Mankind follows suit....and a few moments later Brian Pillman and Mankind have gone from being locked inside Hell in a Cell, to being sixteen feet up above it.....

.....the two men stagger on the unstable roof of this caged structure....Pillman tries to escape down the other side, but Mankind catches him by the tights....and for a heart stopping moment that's all that's stopping Brian Pillman from plummeting sixteen feet down below....all Mankind would have to do is let go of the tights, and Pillman would be nothing more than a stain on the arena floor....fortunately for Pillman he doesn't....he has other ideas.....and he drags the Corporate Cannon back to the middle of the Cell.....holds his hand high in the air.....and shoves those leather clad fingers into the gullet of Brian Pillman.....it's the Mandible Claw!......

.....Pillman struggles.....and struggles.....and he's punching at the head of Mankind.....he's kicking at the knees of Mankind......Mankind isn't letting go though.....and as the blood flows down Pillman's face.....and the spittle flows from his mouth.....Mankind uses his momentum to take Pillman off his feet, and with the Mandible Claw still applied, drives him down to the roof of the Cell.....

.....which gives way.....

.....breaks.....

.....and both men plummet through the caged roof, sixteen feet down to the canvas below with an almighty crash.....

".....GOOD GOD....GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY.....AS GOD IS MY WITNESS, THESE TWO MEN ARE BROKEN IN HALF....."

......both men may well be broken in half.....Mankind is flat on his back, unconscious....Brian Pillman is face down, unconscious......

.....except.....

......Pillman has landed with one arm barely draped across the chest of Mankind.....

.....and the official has seen enough....he's seen a way to end this and he's taking it, as he drops down to the mat and counts one........two.........and three.........

......mercifully this one is over......and Brian Pillman has no idea that he's just defied the odds, to defeat Mankind, inside of Hell.....in a Cell.

Winner: Brian Pillman

Kane is back to his feet, and he's soon joined by Mr. McMahon, Ric Flair, and Arn Anderson....as the entire Corporate Cabinet make their way out to check on Brian Pillman.....not Mankind, they could care less about him.....but they want to make sure that the Corporate Cannon is still breathing......

.....Jim Ross is still in shock at what he's just witnessed, saying that Mankind just spent close to thirty minutes absolutely decimating the Corporate Cannon Brian Pillman.....he says that Mankind could have won this match on any number of occasion.....instead, he's laid there broken in half, and his boss couldn't give a damn......Rick Rude is less sympathetic than his announce partner.....

"....coulda, woulda, shoulda, Jim Ross.....the fact of the matter is Brian Pillman's name will go on the win side of the record......Brian Pillman's music is playing......Brian Pillman won this match..........and that's all that matters......"

.....and as Hell in a Cell comes to a close, the final image we have is of a blood soaked (still practically unconscious) Brian Pillman being held up by Ric Flair and Arn Anderson, as the owner of the World Wrestling Federation raises his hand.....while Mankind lays in a broken heap on the mat behind them.....good night folks.....we'll see you tomorrow night.

Heck (In a Seck) of a show there, to4sty! That sneaky Pillman does it again! Why do I have the feeling that we're getting Austin/Pillman at Mania for the gold...

Dug Raven/Snake man as well. Raven's Rules at Survivor Series?

That Ahmed injury is a killer. You can still protect him by having his feuds mostly be angles, but doesn't help a guy who is a bit lost in the stable shuffle right now. I didn't think he'd hold the belt for much longer - even before the injury - but maybe a switch comes sooner than later?

Enjoy the vacation!

Really good job with Badd Blood, man! Pillman is really looking like a big time contender after that, and I wonder if and when the trigger will get pulled on him. Perhaps instead of the Austin Era starting at this WrestleMania, we will see the Loose Cannon Era instead? Hmmm... Not surprised at Ahmed hurting himself too, that guy really did have some of the worst luck in the business when it came to staying healthy. And oh yeah don't think I won't mention my boy Hall! Huge win for him that hopefully lets him get some shine in the Wolfpac. Finally, I have to give a big shout out to the Raven and Roberts match. Though with Raven being involved, and since the priest has actually come into play, I'm waiting on him to have been played by Stevie Richards all along and he's gonna turn on Jake at the Survivor Series. Hopefully I haven't given something away that you'd planned for, but if not, feel free to use that one!

Until you get back, have fun on vacation with the to4sts!

.....:::::!!!!!GONG!!!!!:::::.....

.....we are one night removed from a monumental In Your House, and In Your House that not only saw the debut of Hell in a Cell, but the return of the Phenom straight from Hell.....because much to the disbelief of the WWF Champion Ahmed Johnson, the Undertaker made an epic return.....making his intentions crystal clear.....he's coming for the WWF Champion....and he's coming.....for the WWF Championship.......

.....and not only that, but he's coming to the ring right now too....

.....the crowd absolutely erupts as the Deadman makes his epic walk down the aisle, where he steps into the ring, and he clearly has something to say.....

.....the Undertaker takes a microphone, and he cuts right to the chase.....he says that almost eight months ago at Wrestlemania, Ahmed Johnson decided he was going to try and make a name for himself on the back of the legend that is The Undertaker....assaulting him with a plank of wood and costing him his Last Man Standing match with his brother Kane.....

.....at May's In Your House event, the team of Ahmed Johnson and Goldust defeated The Undertaker and Cactus Jack (thanks to the interference of Marcus).....but it was in June that Ahmed Johnson committed his biggest infraction yet......when he drove the tennis racquet of his little pipsqueak manager into the throat of the Deadman......crushing his larynx and taking him out of commission......

".....Ahmed Johnson.....you cost me four months of my career.....but you cost YOURSELF so much more.....because it's time to pay the reaper.....and you're not just going to pay with your pain.....you're not just going to pay with your suffering......you're not even going to just pay with your soul.....you're going to pay, with the only thing you hold dear in this world.....you're going to pay.....with the WWF Championship....."

.....Taker says that Survivor Series is right around the corner.....and while Ahmed Johnson may have survived Badd Blood, he will NOT survive the Deadman.....because at Survivor Series, Ahmed Johnson and his WWF Championship reign......will Rest.....in......Peace.......

.....speaking of the WWF Championship, here it comes.....wrapped around the waist of Ahmed Johnson.....the "Walking Armageddon" as manager Jim Cornette has christened him, is more of a limping armageddon right now after picking up that ankle injury last night, which might explain why he and Cornette come to a halt at the top of the ramp instead of making their way down to the ring.....

.....James E. has a microphone in hand, and he's not afraid to use it, telling the Undertaker that he should just turn himself around, go back to the graveyard, and bury himself back under whatever tombstone he crawled out from under.....

".....see, this isn't your run of the mill Champion right here.....this is Ahmed Johnson, the Walking Armageddon.....the ONLY man to fight for the right to make a singles title defence a triple threat title defence, and STILL walk out Champion.....the ONLY man to hold victories over Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner AND the so called Phenom, the Undertaker......there is no one in the WWF worth beating, that Ahmed Johnson hasn't faced and beat.....see that's the difference between an Ahmed Johnson and an Undertaker....because while you were off walking the beaches of Transylvania and howling at the moon on vacation for four months, Ahmed Johnson was out here kicking ass, taking names.....and adding them to his list of victims.....

......now you don't have to like the facts, but facts are exactly what they are.....Ahmed Johnson cost YOU your little Wrestlemania undefeated streak.....Ahmed Johnson beat YOU at In Your House.....Ahmed Johnson beat YOU at the King of the Ring.....Ahmed Johnson took the mighty Deadman and crushed his throat to dust.....and believe me, Ahmed Johnson has NO problem in doing it all again.....Deadman, if you really want to step into the ring with the WWF Champion at Survivor Series.....then we accept your challenge.....but I hope you've kept the heat on back in the crypt, because THIS time, Ahmed Johnson isn't going to put you on the shelf for a few months.....Ahmed Johnson is going to put you on the shelf.....PERMANENTLY......."

.....Jim Ross says that it looks as though we have our first match made for Survivor Series.....Ahmed Johnson vs. The Undertaker.....and as the Undertaker drops down to one knee, inviting Ahmed to step inside the ring with him right now, Jim Cornette takes his (injured) Walking Armageddon to the back, telling him that he's waited four months....he can wait a few more weeks.

VS.

Two weeks ago Matt Hardy was flying high as the European Champion, and one of the most defending Champions that the WWF had seen in quite some time....unfortunately all that came to a screeching half and the hands of Jeff Jarrett.......and indirectly, Ken Shamrock......because while the World's Most Dangerous Man's temper has cost him his fair share of victories, now it has transcended into costing other people victories as well, and it was Matt Hardy that payed the price for his latest outburst.....

.....now while this match isn't a number one contenders match per say, both Hardy and Shamrock have agreed that should they lose this match, then they will step aside and let the other man focus on Jeff Jarrett and the European Championship, so naturally this was pretty heated....not to mention the fact that Hardy is (understandably) ticked at his opponent for costing him the title in the first place....

.....his brother making the move down south has actually done wonders for the career of the elder Hardy....in fact, if Jeff Hardy can be classed (auto push) as an Upper Midcarder down in Turner's Titan Territory, then it's safe to say that should Matt Hardy ever decide to make the jump to WCW, he would be jumping straight into a Main Event spot.....of course, that's WCW.....here in the WWF he's still a longgggg way away from being classed as a main event talent, but his run with the European Championship certainly moved him a long way up the card, so it's only natural that he wants the gold back......unfortunately he's going to have to step aside and watch Ken Shamrock attempt to capture the coveted championship, because after a very close fought contest Shamrock was able to catch hold of Hardy's foot, spin him over into the ankle lock, and despite a valiant effort to get to the ropes, the former European Champion finally had little choice but to concede the match....and concede his efforts (for now) at regaining the gold.

Winner: Ken Shamrock
Rating: B-

Quote:

Hardy is disappointed with his defeat, but as Shamrock helps him back to a standing position (or more of a hopping position really, sell that ankle lock brother) he realises that he made the stipulation, now he's going to have to abide by it, finally offering Shamrock his hand, telling him to make sure that he makes Jeff Jarrett suffer.....

......speaking of Jeff Jarrett, here comes the European Champion himself....along with his Million Dollar Cohorts.....Ted DiBiase leads out the troops, but they (much like Ahmed and Corny before them) only go as far as the entrance way....

.....Deebs has the microphone and asks the pair what exactly it is that they're fighting over....are they actually fighting over who gets to face his European Champion?.....

".....because boys, I hate to break it to you.....but Jeff Jarrett is the Champion.....Jeff Jarrett has the backing of one of the biggest corporations in the world.....and Jeff Jarrett has all the money and all the power to veto ANY challenger for this title belt.....basically, in terms that even you two knuckleheads can understand, Jeff Jarrett has ALL the stroke when it comes to deciding who has the privilege of facing him for the WWF European Championship......"

......DiBiase breaks out into his trademark cackle as he passes the microphone to Jarrett....and Double J reiterates what his manager just said, telling Hardy and Shamrock that as far as HE is concerned, neither one of them deserves a shot at devaluing this prestigious title....a title that's stock has risen exponentially in the short time it's been around his waist.....so for the time being, neither Matt Hardy OR Ken Shamrock will be getting an opportunity to challenge for the European Title.......BUT.......if they really want old Double J that badly, then all they have to do is go out and find two partners.....because the Million Dollar Corporation will happily slap them about some more at Survivor Series.....

......Shamrock calls Jarrett a coward, telling him that he knows damn well that if he stepped into the ring with him, not only would the Title be leaving with Ken, but Jarrett would find out exactly why they call him the Worlds Most Dangerous Man, when he snapped his ankle in about three places......Shamrock says that he WILL get a shot at that title one way or another, but for now, he will happily kick all four of their asses at Survivor Series......Matt Hardy agrees.....and just like that, we have our second official match for the eleventh annual Survivor Series event.....the Million Dollar Corporation against Ken Shamrock, Matt Hardy, and......well.....that's it at the moment......but I'm sure they'll find some team mates in the coming weeks.

Rating: B+

Before we head down to ringside for our next match we are treated to some exclusive post Badd Blood footage....we are backstage of the United Arena, and Jake Roberts is in the trainers room, where he's standing by helpless as medical personnel attempt to rescue the eye of the Snake's priest.....the man of god is still crying out in agony as they attempt to evaluate the situation, but as Jake pulls a medical practitioner to one side he quietly tells the Snake that the prognosis isn't looking good.....and as he angrily hurls a chair across the room and storms off (presumably looking for Raven) the priests screams of pain turn to a scream of pleading.....as he implores Jake not to do it.......not in his name.....

Rating: B

Quote:

VS.

....and then we head back to the live action, as the Snake makes his entrance to face a man who he once hoped to free in his quest to bring out the good in Raven.....and a man instrumental in bringing Raven into the WWF in the first place, Bill DeMott.....young William has been a little bit of a lost soul since his forcible departure from the Flock, being the only member that wasn't looking for a way out he's not really known what to do with himself since his new found freedom.....so maybe facing the man who had a hand in his exile is the perfect place to kickstart his career......

.....it wasn't.....

....Jake was in no mood to play, and he utterly dismantles the bigger man, with Jim Ross suggesting that with every blow to the jaw landed, that's it's not Bill DeMott's face that the Snake Man is seeing, but the features of "The Deity of the Damned", Raven looking back at him.....and based on this performance, if that really is the case, Raven has a whole world of hurt waiting for him when Roberts finally gets his hands on him....mercifully for DeMott, this one is over relatively quickly, with Jake finally putting him away with the DDT for the one, two, three.....

Winner: Jake Roberts
Rating: B

Quote:

Jake may have the victory, but he wants so much more....and he rolls to the outside (picking up a microphone along the way) before opening up the top of that sack that he carries to the ring with him, and unleashing "Revalations".....Revelations being his damn near seven foot long albino python.....and when DeMott finally sees the reptile slithering towards him, he's gone like a bat out of hell, leaving Jake alone with his microphone and his snake....which to be fair, is probably just the way he likes it......

.....Jake says that last night, Raven crossed a line that no man should cross....a line of decency....a line of basic humanity.....and a line of respect......Jake says that Raven is too deep in the dark for salvation.....He says that he could have saved him, but in order to save someone you have to actually want to be saved....Raven, he just wants chaos....anarchy....martial law....

....he says that Raven takes Jake's beliefs and belittles them as something less....something insignificant...because they don't align with his warped view of society and humanity.....but beliefs and faith are the very things that define us as a civilisation...the very thing that separates us from animals....ALL beliefs....even Raven's twisted view of the world is a part of the fabric of humanity....Raven believes that the world is fundamentally flawed....that society is failing....that this so called "Deity of the Damned" is the only one that can see the world for what it really is....

"....except you're wrong....and while I accept your right to believe that, what I do NOT accept, is you taking an innocent man....a righteous man....and attempting to inflict permanent injury upon him to prove nothing more than a point....what I do NOT accept, is you taking the word of the Lord, and using it to justify your own ends.......'an eye for an eye?'.......well Raven, if that's what you want.....if I can't save you.....then maybe I'll just destroy you instead.....

.....see make no mistake, you may believe yourself to be some "deity", but Raven, there is only one true lord and believe me, you are not He.....and much like there's only one true lord, there is only ONE Jake Roberts....I may have moulded you in my image, and yes, for a while I was proud of my creation....but a creation is all you are....a cheap carbon copy....a facsimile of MY blueprint.....and much as the Lord grew disappointed in the decisions of HIS creations, sending a Flood to purge the earth of their existence, I grow weary of yours.....the cleansing waves are coming for you, and there will be no Ark for you to continue your journey......and all that will remain will be the rotting and bloated remains of my FINAL disciple, drowned in a sea of blasphemy and desecration........Trust Me......"

.....with that, Jake drops the microphone, picks up Revelations and wraps him around his neck, before beginning to exit the ring.....at least until a voice stops him.....

.....and the camera pans the arena looking for the source....finding Raven stood high up in the arena.....way away from Roberts reach.....

".....every villain is the hero of his own story Snake....you talk about rebirth....forgiveness....faith.....you talk about atoning for past sins, but that's all it is....talk....empty words from a hollow soul.....they claim that Jesus Christ fasted for forty days and forty nights in the Judaean Desert refusing temptations of hedonism, egoism, and materialism.....and yet you submit so quickly?.....you talk of "saving" me, and yet in the space of a few short months, like Pontius Pilate you are ready to wash your hands of me?.....tell me Jake, who were you really trying to save?.....me?.....or yourself?.......

.....everything "good" you have ever tried to accomplish in your miserable life has failed....you "freed" the Flock to save me....to save them.....and yet I have flourished without them, while each and every one of them is now basking in mediocrity without ME.....just ask the simpleton that you just defeated....talk about kicking a man when he's down......

.....the simpleton is a joke.....the Fallen Angel is an after thought.....and the Dogs of War have turned into neutered puppy's....so tell me, who did you save Jake?.....

.....in fact, your only true success story, was the BIT PART you played in creating me.....your only true success, is MY accession to YOUR dark throne.....because while you have to turn to a false deity to validate your existence, I AM the Deity that defines you....and nothing you can do will ever negate that.....the games are just beginning, and the stakes will only raise.....you were going to be my salvation....instead, I will be your downfall......Quote the Raven......Nevermore....."

So from the deathly serious we go to something slightly less so, as we head to the back, where Dok Hendrix is standing by with the brand new WWF Tag Team Champions, Al Snow and Chris Candido....along with their....manager?.....valet?.....cheerleader?..... to be fair, I don't know what the hell she is, but she's Sunny, and against all odd's she's still in the Champions corner.....even Candido seems to be warming up to the bubbly blonde after she quite clearly had a hand in them capturing the titles to begin with......

....Dok first of all congratulates the pair, saying that after months of trying, topped off with back to back Pay Per View victories over the New Age Outlaws, it must feel good to finally hold those titles......Candido agrees, saying that this moment right here makes the last six months worth it....all the irritation....the embarrassment.....the constant talking from Al Snow in his ear ("seriously Dok....he doesn't shut up") even having to put up with the presence of Sunny ("because believe me, I'd still prefer to have Head on my side that her") it all just disappears into the background.....because FINALLY, Chris Candido can call himself....Champion.....

.....Dok says that may all be the case, but the now former champions, Billy Gunn and Jesse James have demanded (and been granted) their rematch tonight....telling Al Snow that he has no time to savour the moment, because with those title belts comes a huge bullseye on their backs, and the New Age Outlaws are taking aim.....

....Snow is too happy to care however....he tells Dok that he's been promising to pay back Chris Candido for months now, and last night, he finally made good on that promise....

".....because I know it's not easy Betty....it's not easy constantly having to apologise for someone else.....for constantly having to fix someone else's mistakes.....to have someone constantly going on, and on, and on, and on, and on in your ear....night in and night out.....I know it's hard..........that Head is a real pain in the ass Dok, but Skippy, he just takes it all in his stride.................what?..............well of course I'm talking about you, who else would I be talking about?.......me?.........SERIOUSLY?.....ME?....... ..you've got some nerve missy.......we both know who the annoying one in this relationship is, and it ain't me.........please........HEY! You're taking to one half of the WWF Tag Team Champions here, so show a little respect...........do it then, go ahead, find a partner........except you won't because you're so annoying that no one will team with you......who?.......Steve Austin???......there's no way you could get a Steve Austin......oh no you couldn't........go and get a Steve Austin then, I'll kick his ass too......no don't tell him I said that, why would you tell him......do you actually want me to suffer?......."

.....Sunny interrupts Snow's one sided conversation there.....telling Dok that no matter which way you cut it, no matter how much you spin it, there's no denying the fact that Sunny had a big part to play in this story.....there's no denying that Sunny walked out of Badd Blood managing the Word Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions, and you can be damn sure that she'll be walking out of Raw is War STILL managing the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions......after all......what Sunny wants, Sunny gets......

"......come on boys.....let's do this......"

VS.

We go straight down to ringside from there, and The New Age Outlaws have wasted no time in requesting their rematch, because after losing the Championships just 24 hours ago the gold is on the line again tonight.....the new champions are understandably happy after finally capturing the tag team titles after months of trying, and the crowd is happy for them too....Snow and Candido are actually one of the hottest teams going right now (both men are more over than ever, Candido especially has never been this hot before) and they are certainly deserving of holding the top prize in tag team competition.....

.....in face, the only team that's probably hotter than them right now are the former champions, with Gunn and James arguably being THE number one team in the WWF right now, and are pretty much the blueprint for the team of Snow and Candido, (two guys thrown together, one can talk, one can work) which makes it especially satisfying when you think that neither pairing has been teaming that long.....

.....this match was a great TV match, with lots of back and forth action as the two top teams tussled for the top prize....and finally winning the gold obviously did wonders for the Champions, because both Al and Chris out performed their opponents tonight....Snow got to play the face in peril as the Outlaws worked him over, until he finally made the hot tag to Candido, and chaos ensued as the action spilled out to the floor with all four men going at it......

.....Candido and Gunn wind up the legal men inside the ring, while Snow and James manage to inadvertently draw the attention of the official away on the outside.....that leaves Sunny free to pick up Head.....roll into the ring.....

.....and kick Chris Candido right in the balls.....

.....Candido doubles over as Sunny tosses Head to Gunn, who in turn crashes it across the back of Candido's skull.....and three seconds later all of the Champions hard work is undone.....because as Jim Ross remarks, those damn Outlaws just stole the Tag Team Champions....and it's all down to that jezebel Sunny.....as we go to commercial.....

Winner(s): .....and New WWF Tag Team Champions....The New Age Outlaws
Rating: B

.....and when we come back from commercial we see Michael Cole rushing towards the new WWF Tag Team Champions, who are walking briskly through the parking lot along with Sunny....Cole finally catches up with them as they reach their rental car, asking what exactly just happened out there?.....Gunn says he thought it was fairly obvious....the New Age Outlaws just became the New Two Time Tag Team Champions.....where's the confusion?....Cole says the confusion is Sunny.....just last night she was helping Snow and Candido capture the titles, tonight she's helping the Outlaws.....why?.....Gunn goes to answer, but Sunny cuts him off placing a finger on his lips.......looks like she wants to field this one herself......

".....what a difference a day makes eh Michael.....twenty four little hours.......why am I here with the Outlaws? Well I've always been a little bit of an Outlaw myself you know....and what better combination that the Road Dogg.....the Bad Ass.....and MY sweet little ass....."

.....Gunn and James sneak a peek at that aforementioned ass, and as Sunny gives it a little wiggle they begin overly dramatically fanning themselves down....Cole says he's still not sure why Sunny would join up with these two gentlemen, after all, they had some less than complimentary words to say about her in the build up to Badd Blood, but Sunny waves that off again.....she says that unlike a certain Chris Candido, Billy Gunn and Jesse James know an advantage when they see one.....and after witnessing first hand last night what having a Sunny in your corner can do for your career prospects, they were quick to call.....and she was quick to answer......

".....after all, did you REALLY think I was going to stick with those two losers for the long haul Michael?......I've managed Intercontinental Champions.....I've managed World Champions.....I manage WINNERS.....and with me in their corner, that's exactly what the New Age Outlaws are going to be.......and if you're not down with that.......well, Billy has two words for you Cole......"

......before Gunn can deliver his catchphrase however, the now FORMER Champions come bursting into the parking lot, and come charging for the Outlaws, who quickly dive into the car and screech away like thieves in the night, leaving Candido and Snow with nothing but an empty parking area to contend with....Cole tries to get a word with the former champs, but Candido pushes him aside angrily, telling him that now is NOT a good time.

We go back to the arena now, just in time for the arrival of the boss.....because Vincent Kennedy McMahon is making his way to the ring, and he has his Corporate Entourage with him....Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, the Big Red Problem Solver Kane.....and last but not least, a very much worse for wear Brian Pillman (who has his head stitched and is walking very gingerly to say the least)....

....Vince says that last night was a very good night for him on one hand.....but a not so good night on the other.....yes, Flair and Arn settled an old score.....yes, Brian Pillman pulled out a career defining victory, once more defeating another of Mick Foley's guises Mankind....inside the brutal Hell in a Cell structure.....but for once, the Problem Solver failed to solve the problem....as not only did he fail to defeat Stone Cold Steve Austin, but the victory has appeared to give Mr. Austin some rather grandiose ideas...

"......ideas that somehow, I am going to willingly grant him a shot at the World Wrestling Federation Championship.....and quite frankly, that idea is rather far fetched even for him.....especially when I have an athlete the calibre of a Brian Pillman, who CLEARLY earned a title opportunity with his victory last night......"

.....clearly the Rattlesnake doesn't like the sound of that.....because the glass shatters, and the man himself comes bursting out of the back, marches down the aisle, and gets straight into the ring regardless of the odds......

......McMahon quickly positions himself behind his four comrades, putting a wall of bodies between him and (a very p!ssed off looking) Austin....Jim Ross remarks that The Rattlesnake may well be the toughest S.O.B in the WWF, but he doesn't know how wise this is, walking into the lions den alone when the odds are so stacked against him.....

....Austin really doesn't give a damn though.....and he gets a microphone from ringside, asking Vince if his ears are playing tricks on him?.....

".....because if you think a piece of trash like Brian Pillman is getting a shot at that WWF Title before Stone Cold Steve Austin, then you must be even stupider than you look......and you look pretty stupid.....

.....I went to Badd Blood last night...took your little problem solver...and whipped his ass....took your little security guards...whipped their ass....I took you....and I damn sure whipped your ass...so the way I see it, the only thing left for me to do is take that WWF Title and ain't a damn thing you can do about it son....."

....McMahon begs to differ.....he says that there's plenty he can do about it....for one, he could fire him...or two (the more fun way) he can offer Steve Austin an opportunity to become the number one contender to the WWF Title, but an opportunity is all it will be, because there is no chance in hell of him winning it.....

".....you see, we have an event coming up by the name of the Survivor Series....and at that event, YOU Stone Cold Steve Austin will be competing in a traditional five on five Survivor Series elimination match.....now should your team win, you will indeed be named the number one contender, and compete for the World Wrestling Federation Championship at In Your House in December.....HOWEVER.....should you LOSE the match, then you WON'T be competing for the WWF Championship at In Your House, in fact, one of your opponents will.....the team captain if you like....."

.....Austin is fine with that, telling McMahon that all he has to do is find four jackasses in the back, stand them up on the apron, and they can watch as Stone Cold Steve Austin Stuns one, two, three, four, five opponents, wins the match, and marches on to In Your House....

....McMahon interrupts him there....telling Austin that considering his actions as of late, and the fact that he HAS Stunned pretty much half the roster, he might find it difficult finding those four partners......so McMahon (being the thoughtful boss that he is) has nominated his partners for him........and here they are right now......

.....and to say that they are underwhelming would be an understatement......as Marty Jannetty, Savio Vega, Bart Gunn and Bob Holly of all people make their way out....hardly four men that have been lighting it up around here recently (although the newly bottle blonde Bob Holly has amassed quite the winning streak on Superstars as of late)....Austin looks suitably unimpressed too, but tells McMahon it doesn't matter WHO his partners are, he'll win that match single handedly if need be....before asking who the hell his opponents are (as if you haven't guessed).....

....McMahon says that you're looking at them right now.....Kane....Ric Flair....Arn Anderson.....and the Team Captain, the Corporate Cannon Brian Pillman.....again, Austin is fine with that, but says unless his eyes are deceiving him (and they might be, he's had a few Steveweiser's today) he only counts FOUR opponents.....McMahon says that's because he was saving the best till last.....because his final opponent in that traditional five on five Survivor Series match.......

".......is ME!!......."

.....McMahon says that Austin is so hell bent on sneak attacking him recently, but let's see how well he does when Vincent Kennedy McMahon DOESN'T have his back turned.....

.....Austin is beaming at this revelation, telling McMahon that if it means getting to whip his scrawny ass again, then it's a hell yeah from him....match accepted.....in fact.....he might just whip McMahon's ass right here, right now, before tossing the microphone to one side and advancing upon the owner of the company.....McMahon holds his hand up however, telling Austin that if he lays so much as one finger on him between now and the Survivor Series match, then that match is immediately cancelled, and Steve Austin will NOT be granted a shot at the WWF Title.....ever......

.....Stone Cold doesn't like that.....he DOES like the prospect of beating McMahons ass on route to getting a World Title opportunity however.....and so he reluctantly accepts, watching his Survivor Series opponents leave, before toasting the crowd, as Jim Ross questions the quality of Austin's partners, and a promo for the Survivor Series airs.

It's match time now, as former Light Heavyweight Champion Billy Kidman faces off against the Million Dollar Corporation's Rich Steiner....there is quite the contrast of styles here, with Kidman's more athletic high flying offence meeting Steiner's smash mouth high impact onslaught....despite that the match was actually pretty good....

....Kidman frustrated his opponent early on with his speed, hitting and moving and generally leaving Steiner chasing ghosts, until finally DiBiase intervened to distract Kidman long enough that Steiner was able to take him out with a cheap shot.....

....front here Steiner slowed the match down, grounding and pounding while hounding his opponent with insults between blows....Steiner lets Kidman know that he's nothing but a dirt poor piece of garbage walking round like some trailer park trash in his white vest and jean shorts ("that's why I'm better than you boy.....because I'm Rich.....and you're not")

.....all the trash talking gets the better of Steiner however, with Kidman finally rallying back into the match, planting Steiner on the mat, and heading up top, presumably looking for that Shooting Star Press.......

.....which is when DiBiase once again draws the attention of the official (and Kidman)....and with Billy yelling at the referee to get Deebs off the apron, Jeff Jarrett comes rushing down the aisle (European Title around his waist, Guitar in hand) and smashes that Acoustic Equaliser across the back of Kidman.....who tumbles forward onto the waiting shoulders of Steiner (who's had more than enough time to recover with all this commotion) and one Million Dollar Drop later (that's a Death Valley Driver to you and me) Rich Steiner is your winner.

Winner: Rich Steiner
Rating: B

Steiner is happy with his victory, and heads to the outside to collect his (horribly gaudy) jacket, pulling out a thick wad of (one!) dollar bills.....he peels one off the top of the pile and drops down to one knee, slapping poor Kidman in the face before shoving the bill into his mouth....

.....Jarrett clearly isn't happy to end the fun just yet, and after hitting one of his silly little struts he picks up the legs of Kidman, threatening to lock on that Double J Figure Four......

.....luckily for Kidman help is at hand....as Matt Hardy and Ken Shamrock come rushing out from the back....

....the Million Dollar Contingent quickly bail when they see the Calvary arriving (but not before Steiner has taken back his dollar bill, wiped it on his tights, and put it back in his wad) as Hardy and Shamrock help Kidman back to his feet.....

....I'm sure that Matt and Ken would have liked to have gotten their hands on Jarrett and Steiner here....but while they didn't get any payback, they may well have found their first partner....because Billy Kidman looks extremely unhappy about the outcome of this one.

The British Bulldog is back in action now for the first time in quite some time....Davey Boy has been pretty quiet since his excommunication from the Hart Foundation, and hasn't been predominantly featured since back at Augusts Summerslam, which ironically saw him take the fall in the three way Intercontinental Title match, which gave Owen Hart the gold, and cost tonight's opponent Faarooq his championship without him even being the one defeated.....

.....because of this history, this is a surprisingly heated contest....even if it wasn't quite at the quality I was expecting.....both Davey and Faarooq are capable of having fantastic matches, providing they are in there with the right opponent.....unfortunately, neither of these men is one to carry a match, and it definitely showed here....

....the finish wasn't ideal either....because after a hard hitting back and forth battle, The Bulldog was able to hoist Faarooq up onto his shoulder, before driving him hard to the canvas with that patented Running Powerslam......

.....before the official can register the three count however, the rest of the Nation come rushing out from the back and hit the ring, where they proceed to lay down a gang style beatdown on the former Intercontinental and European Champion, leaving the referee little choice but to call for the bell......

Winner: The British Bulldog (via Disqualification)
Rating: B-

Quote:

.....and the beating continues even after the bell has sounded, as the Nation of Domination look to make a statement here....the faces may be different (in fact, only Faarooq and Kama remain of the original incarnation, with Scorpio the next longest serving member) but the mission statement remains the same.....get ahead, by any means necessary.....and as Mark Henry, one of the few men here in the WWF that can match Davey Boy strength for strength, picks the Bulldog up with ease, before hitting a Powerslam of his own, it looks like the Nation are ready to Dominate once more......

.....the problem with that however, is that they have made a lot of enemies in the last few months......and here come four of them right now.....Mysterio and Malenko sprinting down the aisle....Bradshaw following behind at a slightly slower pace....and bringing up the rear is the big man Nelson, who doesn't take his eyes off Faarooq as he walks the length of the entrance ramp......

.....the four men hit the ring and waste no time in making a beeline for their chosen opposition.....Mysterio and Malenko choose Scorpio and D'Lo respectively, Bradshaw and Kama get right down to it, and after eating a Powerslam a few moments ago, Davey Boy gets back to his feet and begins trading blows with Mark Henry.......

.....that just leaves Faarooq.....although as Nelson steps over the top rope and into the ring, it looks as though the Nation leader is about to have his hands VERY full......and Faarooq obviously realises this too....because he quickly bolts from the ring (ordering his troops to follow suit) and the Nation heads back up the ramp and to the locker rooms, with Faarooq promising Nelson that he'll deal with him when HE'S ready to deal with him, NOT when Nelson decides.....because despite what the fat man might think, it's all about the Nation of Domination.....not Nelson Knight.

It's main event time now, and after the events that unfolded towards the end of last nights WWF Championship match, it's safe to say that Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner (while not an official member) has joined forces with the Wolfpac in their ongoing war with the Hart Foundation, thanks mainly to the fact that he wants to rip Chris Jericho's head clean off his shoulders.....

.....these two men have met before, in fact they had a genuine five star match of the year candidate a few months back when Chris Jericho (unsuccessfully) challenged for Steiners WWF Title.....this match was nowhere near on that level, mainly due to time constraints and the fact that the finish to this one wasn't quite so clean as their last encounter.....

.....while not on the level of their last encounter, this was still a decent match.....Chris Jericho has gone from virtual unknown, to Light Heavyweight Champion (and yes, he's still wearing the belt that he retired) to genuine main eventer (and franchise player) in less than two years, while Big Poppa Pump continues to be one of the most popular wrestlers in the world.....and while Scotty certainly looked to be the favourite in this one, when you're wrestling Chris Jericho, there's more than just the Ayatollah of RocknRolla to worry about......

.....because as Test distracts the official, Bret and Owen Hart come running down the aisle.....and as Owen draws Steiner's attention, Bret rolls into the ring behind him and nails him in the back of the head with a steel chair.....

.....which in turn brings out Hall, Nash, and Waltman....but it's too little too late.....Steiner is down and out, and easy pickings for Jericho to cover for the one, the two...and the three.

Winner: Chris Jericho

The Wolfpac hit the ring, looking to resume the battle that broke out last night...surprisingly however The Hart Foundation quickly bail and head up the ramp away from Nash and Co.....

....Big Sexy holds the ropes open, inviting the Canadians to come back down to the ring and "face them like men" but The Hitman holds his troops back, collecting a microphone as Hall and Waltman help a (very) p!ssed off looking Scott Steiner to his feet.....

....Hart first tells the crowd to shut up, before turning back to the ring, letting the Wolfpac know in no uncertain terms that he's.....

".....sick of this bullsh!t.....Nash, Hall, Waltman, I've been fighting you in one form or another for the best part of two years now, and I've been systematically screwed over every single step of the way....instead of focusing on what I SHOULD have been focusing on, regaining the World Wrestling Federation Championship, I've been focusing on you three idiots......I lost the WWF Title because of you......I lost my only one on one shot at REGAINING the WWF Title because of you.....and just last night in the three way match, I lost my chance at becoming the WWF Champion because Kevin Nash got his ass beat......that's it.....I'm done......it's time to draw a line under this once and for all, so that I can get back to doing what I SHOULD have spent the last two years doing....and that's getting back MY World Wrestling Federation Championship.....

....so it goes like this.....Survivor Series will mark the end of this crap.....us four against you four.....and the team that Survives will truly be the best group there is......was......and ever will be......now me, I'm confident in my team....'I've met men I could trust in the mouth of hell....I would trust them to breathe for me....to pump my blood with their hearts'.....can you say the same?.....those two degenerates that you call friends?.....a guy more concerned with his own biceps than anything else?....I don't think so.....and at Survivor Series, when we eliminate each and every one of you, there will be no doubt that's it's Canada that has the superior athletes....while America is full of nothing more than low life, money grabbing, vain backstabbers......"

.....Nash grabs a microphone of his own, echoing Hart's earlier plea to the crowd as he asks him to please just shut the hell up.....he tells Bret that while no one can argue the fact that he's a great wrestler, his voice is enough to send anyone to sleep.....he says that if it will finally get Hart to stop his b!tching and moaning then they will gladly accept, but reminds Bret what happened the last time he faced Nash, Hall and Waltman at the Survivor Series.....exactly the same thing that's going to happen this time.....("we win....you lose")....except this time he'll have no excuses.....and then, when the 'Pac is done beating those Canadians like Canadians beat their Hockey Puck's, it's gonna be time for the RED and Black Attack to add some more gold to their sweet collection....because just like Scott Hall slapped around Owen Hart and bought home the Intercontinental Championship, without the Harts snapping at their heels like annoying puppy dogs, the Wolves are going hunting.....title hunting......and god help anyone that gets in their way......

.....with that Steiner snatches the mic away from Nash....

".....LESS CHATTING, MORE SMACKING.....YOU WANT BIG POPPA PUMP IN YOUR LITTLE WOLFPAC FOR SURVIVOR SERIES?.....WELL, IF IT MEANS I GET TO RIP CHRIS JERICHO'S HEAD OFF AND USE IT TO BEAT HIS STUPID BLONDE B!TCH BODYGUARD WITH THEN COUNT ME IN........................YEAH YOU HEARD ME YOU UGLY PUCK....BUT IF YOU THINK I'M WAITING TILL THEN TO KICK SOME CANADIAN ASS THEN YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW ME VERY WELL....."

.....an intense Scott Steiner then throws down the microphone and climbs out of the ring....Hall, Nash and Waltman smile, shrug their shoulders, and follow suit, as the show comes to a close with the Wolfpac and Scott Steiner heading up the aisle on a collision course with the Hart Foundation......and a collision course it will be, when these eight men meet at the eleventh annual Survivor Series event.....see you next week folks.
