We are just six days away from In Your House: Badd Blood, which means that in less than one weeks time the world will witness the unveiling of the Hell in a Cell structure....the structure which is going to enclose not only the ring, but the entire ringside area, as Mankind and Brian Pillman write another vicious chapter in their already bloody and brutal feud......

.....we don't have to wait a week to see the Corporate Cannon however, because he's here right now, alongside the Owner of the World Wrestling Federation, Vincent Kennedy McMahon, McMahon's personal problem solver Kane, the Enforcer Arn Anderson, and last but not least, possibly the greatest wrestler to ever lace up his boots, The Nature Boy Ric Flair.....

.....McMahon welcomes us to the show, saying that before we get down to the action this evening, there are one or two items of business that he wants to discuss, starting with the WWF Championship match at Badd Blood, or more importantly, the potential changes to said match......

"....you see this Sunday night, you will all get the opportunity to see Bret Hart challenge Ahmed Johnson for the World Wrestling Federation Championship.....but it's clear following the events of last week that Ahmed Johnson has more than a few unfinished items of business with one Kevin Nash....now Ahmed Johnson wants Kevin Nash added to that WWF Title match at Badd Blood....Kevin Nash wants Kevin Nash to be added to that WWF Title match at Badd Blood....and for some reason, you moronic fans want Kevin Nash to be added to that WWF Title match at Badd Blood.....in fact, it's safe to say that the only one that DOESN'T want Kevin Nash added to the WWF Title match at Badd Blood, is Bret Hart....."

....McMahon says that with that being said, this is what we are going to do....tonight, each of those men is going to make their desires a reality, when Ahmed Johnson has to team up with both Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, to face Bret Hart, Owen Hart and Chris Jericho....and while Nash and Johnson would much rather be tearing into each other, they're going to have to co-exist this evening, because should they win this match, then yes, Kevin Nash will indeed be added to the WWF Title match this Sunday at Badd Blood......not only that, but Scott Hall will also receive his requested WWF Intercontinental Title match as well, against Champion Owen Hart, while in the interest of fairness (and to assure that no one can claim to have been "screwed") should the Harts and Jericho win this evening, then Mr's Hall and Nash will NOT be competing for ANY championships at Badd Blood.....

"...and while we are on the subject of people being screwed, one person that I have no problem in making life difficult for.....is Stone Cold Steve Austin....."

....the crowd pops big at the mention of Stone Cold, and it's not long until a loud "Austin" chant breaks out through the arena, a fact that clearly irks McMahon, who tells the fans that they have four of the greatest stars in the world gathered in this ring right now, and they choose to chant for a white trash redneck like Steve Austin......

".....but then judging by the look of some of you individuals in attendance tonight, that shouldn't come as too much of a surprise....and while I personally thoroughly enjoyed seeing Mr. Nash get a taste of his own medicine when the WWF Champion sent him crashing through the announce table last week, I didn't get what I really wanted.....and that was Stone Cold Steve Austin beaten to within an inch of his life....."

....McMahon says that tonight, six days before Kane tears Steve Austin limb from limb, McMahon is adopting a more "extreme" approach....when Austin faces Raven later tonight....and speaking of extreme, the World Wrestling Federation is certainly going to go to the extreme this Sunday night.....when Brian Pillman takes care of Mick Foley/Dude Love/Mankind once and for all....inside the Hell....in a Cell.....

.....Pillman takes the microphone, and with a maniacal cackle he decrees that Badd Blood will indeed be the end game in the Brian Pillman/Mick Foley saga.....and it's a game that only he can win.....and while they say that a rose by any other name smells as sweet, Mick Foley by any other name still can't defeat the Corporate Cannon Brian Pillman....and so confident is Pillman that he's going to easily eradicate his opponent on Sunday, that TONIGHT, (as he holds up four fingers) he's going to take care of a little....'Family Business'......when he takes out the lame horse Barry Windham.....

.....Flair takes the microphone next, letting out a big "Wooooooooooo" as he tells these fans that in six days time, ("The Nature Boy is gonna walk that aisle, and with The Enforcer by my side, we're going to erase a seven year old mistake from the face of the earth")....he says that that you have to take chances in this great sport, because everyone once in a while (indicating towards Brian Pillman) you unearth a diamond.....but more often than not you're left with nothing more than a handful of coal, and that's exactly what they had with Barry Windham and Psycho Sid, two useless lumps of coal that they're going to crush under their boots at Bad Blood....that's IF Brian Pillman leaves left of Barry Windham....next.

VS.

That match is indeed next, as big Barry Windham makes his way out, along with very big Psycho Sid by his side. McMahon heads to the back, with Kane close by his side (after all, you never know when the Rattlesnake is going to strike) while Flair heads over to the announce desk. Anderson however chooses to remain on the outside, heading over to Pillman's corner where he no doubt plans to get involved in this one somehow, despite the presence of the seven foot Sid.....

.....the match itself was good....Pillman and Windham go wayyyy back, and have spent plenty of time in the ring together, with Windham even forcing the former Bengal to don a mask as the Yellow Dog for a time, after defeating the smaller man in a 'loser leaves' match....the stakes are nowhere near as high this evening, although with both men being former Horsemen, you've got to assume the pride stakes are pretty high.....

.....in the end however, the numbers game was too much for Windham (and Sid) with Flair finally leaving the announce table to run interference with Sid, leaving Arn to reach under the ring to pull out that trusty tyre iron, which he uses to clock Windham in the back of the head....and as Brian Pillman marches on towards Hell in a Cell, he does so with a victory under his belt, because he gets the one, the two, and the three.

Winner: Brian Pillman

Why stop when you're having fun huh? And with Windham down, that leaves the Pillman, Flair and Arn with just Psycho Sid to contend with....and if Pillman has history with big Barry, he's CERTAINLY got history with Sid.....(THAT Powerbomb in the War Games match about six years earlier anyone?)....and he joins his two team mates in a three on one assault on the outside....Sid is a big fella though....which probably explains why Anderson eats the ring steps, and Pillman gets his head bounced off the steel post before Flair finally clips the knee, chopping the giant down to size, and then the Horsem...uhm, Corporate Men go to work kicking at Sid, (as Pillman pulls the safety mats up off the floor) until they finally knock him down onto the exposed concrete floor......

.....Windham rolls to the outside, looking to lend a hand to the hand....he's not at anywhere near 100% however after that hard blow from Anderson's trusty tyre iron, and he's quickly dispatched by the trio, before Flair hands Pillman a steel chair, telling him to ("do what you do best brother") as the Corporate Cannon inserts Sid's long leg inside the folding chair, and heads up onto the apron......looks like Psycho Sid is about to be Pillmanized......

.....before he can leap however, the masked figure that it Mankind comes rushing out from the back...good thing too, because the last thing anyone needs to see (again) is Sid getting his leg broken....

.....Pillman (still up on the apron) climbs through the middle rope and backs up to the centre of the ring, cackling and wide eyed as he screams at Mankind to come and get him....

.....of course, his confidence might have something to do with the fact that Flair and Anderson have put themselves between Mankind and the ring on the outside, and both men are armed, Anderson with that tyre iron, while the Nature Boy has pulled the steel chair off Sid's leg....Mankind comes to a halt as he assesses the situation, while Brian Pillman acts like a maniac in the ring, pacing around, bouncing up and down on the bottom rope, before finally dropping down to his knees and begging Mankind to make a move.....

......Mankind takes a hesitant step forward, and Flair and Arn both roll into the ring alongside Pillman, where all three continue to goad the masked man into making what could be a very big mistake....the Deranged One takes another step forward, then stops and just stands there with his head half cocked to one side and a small smile breaking out on his face.....why's he smiling?

......and why is the crowd popping?

.....probably because Stone Cold Steve Austin has just climbed over the crowd rail behind the unaware trio, and he's slid into the ring....and as Mankind finally makes his move towards the ring Austin spins Anderson around, kicks him in the gut....and drops him with a Stunner.....

.....Mankind rolls under the bottom rope and goes straight for Pillman, as Austin flips off The Nature Boy, but the two Corporate men no longer like these odds (especially since Windham and Sid are climbing back to their feet too) and they quickly bail to the outside, dragging the Enforcer out with them as they go, and retreat quickly up the aisle.....but much as he did last week, Jim Ross hammers the point home that Brian Pillman will have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide this Sunday, when he's locked inside the Hell in a Cell with Mankind.....time for a commercial break.

Harlem Heat and the Dogs of War have hit a bit of a stalemate when it comes to tag team action recently....they've faced each other three times over numerous episodes of Raw and Superstars, with each contest resulting in a no contest of some description as they attempt to destroy each other.....last week the Heat finally took the upper hand, after Booker T defeated Wrath in singles action (albeit with an assist from his brother) so this week Crush is looking to avenge that loss, as he takes on Stevie Ray.....

.....if you were looking for a scientific showcase here you were very much disappointed, because Stevie and Crush spent the match pounding the hell out of each other with big power moves. Stevie Ray might not have the "breakout star" tag attached to him that his brother has developed as of late, but he's certainly capable enough in the ring to put on a decent match....and Crush, while not spectacular, is solid enough too.....

.....this is an open match, with plenty of opportunities for both men to pick up the victory, and when that victory did come, much like last week, it wasn't without its controversy....because while Stevie handed Booker the assist LAST week, Wrath does the same for Crush THIS week, reaching under the bottom rope to trip Stevie as he runs the ropes after an Irish Whip, leaving the Harlem Heat man to stumble into a big Chokeslam from Crush for the one, the two, and the three.....

Winner: Crush
Rating: B

Quote:

.....another reoccurring feature in this Heat vs. DoW feud has been the fact that each match has been followed by a further brawl....the ring clearly can't contain this war....and the culmination of this match is no different, because following the interference, Booker T rushes around the ring and launches Wrath hard into the steel steps, and no sooner has the bell rang than he rolls into the ring and goes straight for Crush....

.....the two men eventually stumble through the ropes, where they are soon joined by a recovered Stevie and Wrath, as the four way war continues....unlike previous weeks however, security are out like a shot to separate them.....and with them....

.....Vince McMahon, who appears on the Titantron to let the two teams know that if they are going to insist on tearing each other apart, then they can do it at Badd Blood....and since they clearly can't work around the confines of either the rules OR the ring, then they can compete in a Falls Count Anywhere Street Fight.....before ordering security to get the two teams out of his arena.

While security deals with Harlem Heat and the Dogs of War, we go backstage, where Michael Cole is standing by with Ken Shamrock....Cole (rather cautiously) skirts around the fact that last week, Shamrock had another chance at becoming the WWF European Champion, but much like at Summerslam, his temper got the better of him and he wound up costing himself the match when he was too preoccupied with the illegal man, Jeff Jarrett.....Cole asks if Ken has any animosity towards Matt Hardy for capitalising on this fact to secure the victory? Shamrock just shakes his head, before saying no....Matt did what he had to do to retain his title....Ken says he's watched the footage back, and "the kid" was clearly trying to snap him out of his red mist, but Shammy was too far gone to realise....he cost himself the match, his temper cost him the match, and he has no one to blame but himself.....

"....but I'm trying Michael, I'm trying to curb that temper, and I'm sure that one day soon, you're going to see gold around the waist of Ken Shamrock...."

".....yeah?....but it won't be tonight will it.....because tonight, it's going to be Jeff Jarrett walking out with the gold....."

....and in walks Rich Steiner (looking as terrible as always with his medallion Dollar sign necklace, bare chest and jacket combination) along with his manager Ted DiBiase.....Steiner takes off his designer(?) sunglasses and tucks them safely into his top pocket, before telling Shamrock that a street punk like him is never going to amount to anything in the WWF.....

".....ya see, to be a champion you need taste (Steiner adjusts the lapels of his rather tacky jacket) you need class....you need to be a man of wealth....see you, you're just some punk from the streets that used to sleep in abandoned cars and eat from the trash....well a man like me, I've got more car's in my garage than I could drive in a week, and I only eat the finest foods to stay looking as only I can look....(again Steiner adjusts his jacket....and the slight bulge around his midsection is noticeable....he's certainly been eating well)....but then that's the difference between you and me, you and Mr. DiBiase, and you and Jeff Jarrett....we're the upper class, while you're just the crap that my butler scrapes from the bottom of my shoe....."

.......Shamrock doesn't like that comment one bit, and you can see the steam getting ready to blow out of his ears, and Steiner he just provokes it further, clearly looking for a reaction....he asks Ken what's the matter?.....

".....are you gonna blow?....are you gonna snap?.....that temper might have helped you down in that ultimate punching garbage that you used to do, but here in the WWF you're not fighting bar room brawlers and Bruce Lee wannabe's in their pyjamas, you're fighting professional athletes....men that fight by the rules, something that a low down dirty street rat like you wouldn't know anything about......"

......Steiner pulls an enormous wad of bills out from his pocket and peels of a (One Dollar!) bill....telling Shammy that's why he'll never amount to anything....that's why Jeff Jarrett is better than him, and that's why Steiner is better than him....before arrogantly flicking the (One Dollar!) bill in Shamrocks face.....

"......because I'm Rich......and you're not......"

.....both Steiner and DiBiase fire off an obnoxious laugh, and Shamrock is standing their desperately tying to keep his temper in check.....

.....when an acoustic guitar suddenly smashes over his head from behind him.....

.....and Jeff Jarrett struts into frame.....he looks down at Shammy and shakes his head, telling him now look at what he's done......he's gone and broken his favourite guitar.....

".....don't worry though Kenny Boy.....I've got plenty of money, I can just buy another...ha-ha, come on boys.....old Double J's got a title to win...."

.....and with that the Million Dollar Camp walk off, leaving Shamrock down and out....or at least they mostly walk out.....because Steiner runs back into the shot quickly, bending down to retrieve his (One Dollar!) bill, blowing the dust off it and putting it back into his pocket, before walking off to join his team mates.....our European Championship match is up next.

VS.

It is indeed next, and this European Title match has been dubbed a last chance match, because while Matt Hardy has indeed been a true fighting champion here during his two month reign, the Million Dollar Corporation have certainly had more chances than most to take the gold away from this plucky youngster....this is their last shot (for now anyway) and perhaps knowing that they have underestimated Hardy in the past, and realising the magnitude of this opportunity, not only has DiBiase made his way out with Jarrett, but Rich Steiner is out there too.....those are some tough odds for the Champion to overcome.....

.....he does well though considering the circumstances, even taking Steiner out at one point (after growing tired of the constant interference) with a Suicide Dive, which for a period at least made this a more even contest....unfortunately, by the time Jarrett pulled the official in front of a modified Poetry in Motion attempt (knocking him out cold) Steiner had recovered, and with the referee indisposed, it was time for the Corporation to double team the champion.....

.....Steiner hits Hardy with a move dubbed "The Million Dollar Drop" (which is essentially a Death Valley Driver) before heading to the outside to pick up the European Championship....and as Jarrett drags Hardy to his feet, hooking his arms behind his back, it looks like the two Million Dollar Members are about to Brain the youngster with the solid gold belt.....

.....which is when Ken Shamrock comes exploding out of the back....and I say exploding because the man has clearly lost it....he's snapped.....and he slides into the ring where he takes out Steiner with a hard right that sends the European title flying, before sending him halfway across the ring with a high, high, belly to belly suplex.....

......he turns to face Jarrett (who has dropped Matt and is now furiously begging off) and goes to make his way over to him, but he comes to a stop as he spots the gold title belt lying on the mat.....

......he picks the Championship up and pats the face of it, before letting out a loud roar and charging at Jarrett.....who manages to avoid the blow at the last possible second.....

.....sadly for Hardy, he chose that exact moment to get back to his feet.....and Shamrock inadvertently nails him right between the eyes.....

.....that causes the fog to lift for the manic Shamrock, who instantly realises his mistake....not that it helps Hardy any, because Jarrett surprises Shamrock with a clothesline and tosses him to the outside (where Steiner is waiting to keep him preoccupied) just as DiBiase rouses the official....Jarrett makes the cover, and just like that, Matt Hardy's storybook title reign is over, and for once Shamrock's lack of self control has cost somebody ELSE a victory.

Winner: ....and New WWF European Champion.....Jeff Jarrett

As the Corporation celebrate depositing some gold into their account, Ken Shamrock attempts to help up the man he essentially just screwed over, as we go to the back where Dok Hendrix has quite the packed house....

....he's standing by with Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko, Al Snow, Chris Candido, and (much to the distaste of Candido) Sunny....he says that in a few short moments they will be competing in eight man tag team action, as they face off against the WWF Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws, and Nation of Domination members Faarooq and Kama....and they must know by now, that where Faarooq goes, the rest of the Nation is never far behind.....

....Malenko says that they are well aware of that....he says that last week they were getting ready to compete in that number one contenders tag team match against the Nation, and got taken out before they even got to the ring....well this thing with the Nation is far from over....and the Nation might have strength in numbers, but he and Rey aren't the only ones with a score to settle with Faarooq and his boys....in fact, they know a VERY big man with a VERY big score, and sooner or later, Faarooq is going to have to get into the ring with Big Nelson.....

"......and as far as me and Rey go, we might not be the biggest dog's in the fight, but we've got a hell of a bite of our own.........what the hell are you doing?....."

.....everything stops as the camera turns to Al Snow, who has been fumbling with something in the background throughout the entire interview....he finally finishes what he's doing and lets out a big "Ah-ha" as he pulls a Lucha Mask wearing Head into view.....

"......behold......hailing from Tijuana, Mexico....the scourge of the Rudo empire.....the hooded hotshot of the hurracanrana, the masked mistress of the misteriorana.....the taco chewing technician of the tiger driver......Señor and Señoras.......El Cabeza!...............what?............that was not inappropriate...........................it was not...................well I don't think it was..........I am not..................I AM NOT A GRINGO.......wait, what's a gringo?.................oh....I guess I am a gringo.........well it doesn't matter, cause tonight, the Lucha Brothers, Rey Mysterio........"

......Al reaches behind him and pulls out the Avatar mask he was wearing last week, slipping it on his head......

".....and Al-Vatar are going to be flying higher than any Luchador has flown before..............yes I can.........I can.................I'll have you know I CAN fly thank you very much.................I can fly better than you................well I'd like to see YOU hit a missile dropkick...................YOU DON'T HAVE ANY LEGS!!!......"

......Mysterio tries to repress a smile as Candido and Malenko (two men who would probably be a more 'traditional' fit as a tag team) exchange a look, with Candido finally shrugging, telling the Man of 1000 Holds that "he grows on you", before turning to Dok and telling him that they are just six days away from Badd Blood, and six days away from finally, FINALLY capturing the WWF Tag Team Titles......he says that they've beat the Outlaws before, they can beat them again, and this time the gold is 100% on the line......

".....thanks to me......"

.....Sunny flicks her hair back with a big smile on her face, telling Candido that she told him that she would get them that shot (as she tries to run her hand over his chest).....because what Sunny wants, Sunny gets.....Candido just rolls his eyes and bats her hand away, telling her that it was he and Snow that won the match last week, it was him and Snow that EARNED that match.....and it is him and Snow that are going to defeat the Outlaws on Sunday....they don't want Sunny, they don't NEED Sunny......hell, he'd rather have Head in his corner than Sunny, so why doesn't she go back to "entertaining" Vince McMahon, because right now these four men have got business to attend to.

That match is indeed happening right now, and it's set to be a wild one, because while Badd Blood: In Your House is in six days time, there is plenty of bad blood to be settled in this one.....Al Snow & Chris Candido have been trying (unsuccessfully) to capture the WWF Tag Team Titles from the Road Dogg and Billy Gunn for quite some time now, while Malenko & Mysterio have become embroiled in a bitter feud with the Nation of Domination....although it's safe to say that as long as they have those title belts around their waists, the Outlaws have a huge bullseye on their backs from ALL the teams of the WWF......

......the match itself was pretty good....it was pretty entertaining too, as both Al Snow (or I guess Al-Vatar) and Head...sorry, El Cabeza....donning their respective masks, Snow seems to think he's the next Lucha sensation.....he's no Rey Mysterio that's for sure, but he's certainly got more aerial ability than any of his four opponents, and it's the face foursome that actually co-exist better than the heel quartet, because Faarooq is splitting his attention between a) his opponents, b) letting the Outlaws know that when they're done "squashing these pint sized punks", they're going to be coming for those tag team titles......and c) keeping one eye on the entrance ramp for any sign of the implied (in Malenko's pre match promo) presence of the 500lb Nelson in the arena.....

.....in spite of that, it was the New Age Nation that picked up the victory....and in typical Outlaws style, (they are Outlaws after all), they stole it........because as the match breaks down, and a pier eight brawl breaks out, Gunn and James find themselves brawling on the outside with Snow and Candido, where the Road Dogg grabs Snow by the Al-Vatar mask, twisting it to obscure his vision....and as the official focuses on Gunn and Candido, Rey Mysterio climbs the top rope looking to fly at Faarooq......which is when the Road Dogg jumps up onto the apron, shoving the former Light Heavyweight Champion hard in the back and sending him crashing to the mat.....and all that left Faarooq to do was hit the Dominator.....for the one, two, three.

Winner(s): The New Age Outlaws & The Nation of Domination

From there we cut to a scene developing outside of the arena......Mr. McMahon may have ordered security to evict Harlem Heat and the Dogs of War out of the building, but he obviously didn't specify to evict them from different entrances, because right there in the middle of the road, Booker T and Stevie Ray are taking the term "Street Fight" very literal, as they continue their brawl with Wrath and Crush.....

.....the traffic has quite literally come to a standstill here outside the arena, not that it had much choice when you have these four huge men paying no mind what so ever to the laws of the road, as they kick and punch and scratch and claw their way up the street.....

......Jim Ross says that we could well be seeing a preview of what's to come this Sunday night at Badd Blood, where Harlem Heat and the Dogs of War will compete in a Falls Count Anywhere: Street Fight.....you could see a pinfall in the ring, you could see a pinfall in the crowd, you could see a pinfall in the street, in the road, on the roof of a car.....quite simply put, this rivalry will be ended one way or another, because no matter where this fight goes, the official will be there to make the fall....

.....for now however, there is no official, and no one is even attempting to make a pinfall attempt, ecause it's not about getting a victory here, this is all about hurting each other, emphasised by the fact that Booker T almost gets his head put through a nearby store window, about the same time that Crush gets backdropped onto the hood of a car....until finally we cut away, and head back into the arena where Jim Ross and Rick Rude are waiting to introduce our next match.......

.....and that match is going to see Stone Cold Steve Austin go one on one with the man who caused quite the controversy last week on Raw, not only entering the sanctuary of Jake "The Snake, but assaulting his Priest too.......and that man, is the Deity of the Damned.....Raven....

.....Jim Ross informs us that while they would like to show us the footage of Raven's despicable actions of last week, in the interest of good taste that's not going to happen.....although for the less easily offended, the entire incident will be included in an upcoming article for the WWF's more adult oriented publication, the WWF Raw Magazine, complete with uncensored photographs of the unpleasant scene.....

.....as for this match itself, it's really only come about thanks to Vince McMahon's desire to punish the Rattlesnake for his repeated assaults of the Owner of the World Wrestling Federation....and with Austin set to tangle with Kane in six days time, Raven may well be the perfect choice of opponent if you're looking to make someone suffer, because clearly this self proclaimed Deity of the Damned has no line that he won't cross.....

.....this was actually the match of the night, it really was very good (and one that may be worth revisiting in the future)....Austin is obviously white hot right now, and remains the number one face in the company, while Raven steadily climbed to a main event position (with really very few high profile victories) and stayed there with virtually no effort on my part, it's been all him (and his excellent promo abilities).....

.....it probably comes as no surprise that this was largely a brawl based contest, and a lot of it took place on the outside.....Austin had the upper hand in the early onset of the match, but when Raven did take control he did exactly what McMahon wanted, he punished the Rattlesnake with every part of his environment....the steel steps, crowd barriers, the ring posts, the announce table....everything was a weapon, to the point that the official almost threw this one out on a number of occasions.....Austin rallied back and was more than happy to return the favour, introducing his opponents head to every surface that Raven had used to punish him, and even went back to his "Stunning Steve" days as he busted out a brutal looking Stun Gun on the safety rail...........this really was developing into an instant classic.............

......it's a shame it had to be interrupted....but after the actions of Raven this past week, did you really think that Jake Roberts wouldn't have something to say on the matter?......not that he physically gets involved.....but the sound of his entrance music and the sight of the Snake man walking out onto the entrance way was enough to turn Raven's head, and that was all the invitation Austin needed to kick him in the gut, before dropping him with the Stone Cold Stunner for the one, two, three......

Winner: Steve Austin

.....Austin celebrates his victory before heading up the ramp to the back, where Roberts is still standing with a look of conflict on his face.....the Snake and the Rattlesnake come face to face for a moment, before Roberts steps to one side to let Austin pass, as Raven slowly pulls himself up to a kneeling position inside the ring......

.....Jake still hasn't moved, and from his knees Raven gives him a twisted smile before motioning to him to come on down.....Roberts wants to, in fact you can see by his face that he REALLY wants to.....but he doesn't, instead he pulls out a microphone and tells his Badd Blood opponent that he's not coming down there tonight......

".....don't get me wrong.....I want to.....you have no idea how badly I want to walk down to that ring right now......but you see, me, I've been a lot of thing.....I've been a sinner.....an addict....a liar.....a downright heinous individual.....but one thing I am above all else is a patient man......"

.....Raven begins to laugh at this statement, still imploring Jake to walk that aisle as he unfolds those arms crucifix style, and from his kneeling position it's an eerie replication of the position Roberts priest was left in.....but still Jake doesn't come......

"......I'm a patient man, but I'm patient for selfish reasons.....because as much as I want to come down there now, if I do that I won't be held responsible for my actions.....if I come down there right now then there will be no match between us at Badd Blood, because I can't guarantee that you'll leave this arena alive....and I need you alive.....I need you alive and at your best, because then there will be NO excuses for your destruction.....

......I said that anyone could be saved....that anyone could be redeemed, but I was wrong....you Raven, you have walked too far into the dark to ever find your way back into the light....you're a rabid dog that needs putting down and on Sunday night, I WILL be your own personal Armageddon.....see I may be a Man of God, but it's a common misconception that a Man of God means a Man of Peace.....Holy War's have been waged on this earth since the dawn of civilisation....from the time that the Archangel lead the battle to cast the Rebels out of Heaven, good has ALWAYS triumphed over evil, just as it will at Badd Blood......"

.....Raven continues to cackle as the Snake talks, if his plan was to push his former mentor over the edge, he may well have succeeded, because for all his talk of patience Jake is clearly barely holding it together, and the master manipulator clearly knows that, continuing to taunt the Snake as he talks......Jake says that for what Raven did to his church.....to his priest.....but more importantly, to his friend, Raven will pay the ultimate price.....this "Deity of the Damned" will be cast out.......

"......and may God have mercy on your soul......because trust me, there will be NO mercy.....from me....."

We go to the back following that, to the locker room of the Hart Foundation, where Dok Hendrix is standing by for a quick word with Bret, Owen, Chris AND Test (who is currently hard at work strapping up the Hitman's ribs with tape after his ride through the announce table last week).....Dok says that tonight, Bret, Owen and Jericho can not only prevent Kevin Nash from inserting himself into the WWF Title match at Badd Blood, but put an end to Scott Hall's plans to capture the Intercontinental Championship for an unprecedented fifth time with one win tonight.....that one win isn't going to come easy however......because not only will they have to defeat Hall and Nash, but the seemingly unstoppable WWF Champion Ahmed Johnson as well.......

......in between winces as Test tightens the tape around his ribs, the Hitman says that it won't be as difficult as people seem to think.....sure he's banged up right now, but Owen and Jericho are in peak condition.....he says that he would trust these men to defeat anyone put in front of them, but more importantly than that, they are a cohesive unit fighting for the common good, while Ahmed Johnson and Kevin Nash are about ready to kill each other......tonight, the Hart Foundation put an end to this Wolfpac nonsense, and at Badd Blood, Bret "The Hitman" Hart will once again become the World Wrestling Federation Champion........

.....from there we go to Michael Cole, who's in the Wolfpac locker room, where Kevin Nash looks to be suffering as much as Bret Hart is from that trip to table town last week, which leaves Cole to beg the question, with Big Sexy at less than 100% and with their partner being the man that put him in that condition, how can they ever hope to co-exist?....

.....before Nash can answer the door swings open, and in walks the WWF Champion Ahmed Johnson, along with his motormouth manager Jim Cornette.....Nash gingerly gets to his feet as Ahmed walks right up to him, and the two men go face to face in a rather tense moment, before Ahmed finally looks down at Nash's heavily taped midsection with a smirk.....Big Sexy tells him that he might want to wipe that smirk off his face, before Nash does it for him, but that just makes Ahmed smile even wider as Jim Cornette tells Kevin Nash that if he's looking to intimidate someone then he's looking at the wrong person.....

".....this is Ahmed Johnson, the World Wrestling Federation Champion.....the man that took out the Undertaker.....the man that took out Rikishi and Kokina.....the man that holds victories over Scott Steiner, Steve Austin and Bret Hart.....and the ONLY man bad enough to walk into the mouth of the Wolves den alone.....he doesn't get intimidated.....what he does get however is results, and it's a result that he's going to get tonight, because make no mistake, Ahmed Johnson will be leaving Badd Blood as the WWF Champion whether he faces Bret Hart, Bret Hart and Kevin Nash, or King Kong, Godzilla and Mothra.........the result remains the same.....Ahmed wins......

.....now fortunately for you Mr. Nash, being the fighting champion that he is Ahmed Johnson has decided that he wants to take the big bad wolf down, even if that means he has to face TWO men to do it.....so tonight, rest assured that Ahmed Johnson is going to do what Ahmed Johnson does....he's going to win.....but in the interest of full disclosure, when that match ends tonight, and Ahmed Johnson has his hand raised......well, I'll let the man himself tell you what's going to happen......Ahmed?....."

.....the smirk doesn't leave Johnson's face as he and Nash continue to go face to face.....but as Cornette finishes his rant the WWF Champions face goes deathly serious, as he lets Big Sexy know in no uncertain terms that tonight......just like at Badd Blood.....

".....you're....going.....down....."

.....the two uneasy allies continue to stare each other down, leaving the atmosphere so tense that you could cut it with a knife, before Michael Cole rather nervously sends us back to ringside for the entrance of the Hart Foundation.

So it's main event time, and time to see if Kevin Nash can co-exist with Ahmed Johnson long enough to secure another shot at the World Wrestling Federation Championship, because victory here tonight against the Hart Foundation would accomplish just that.....

....this match wasn't quite at the level that I'd hoped, it wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but then you've got the rather odd heel/face team of Ahmed Johnson and the Wolfpac, not to mention the fact that both Ahmed Johnson and Kevin Nash are IN the match....I guess even Bret Hart can't work miracles with them both at the same time....

....the story of the match was always going to be the question of whether Ahmed and Nash could co-exist....and they did (for the most part).....after all they were working towards a common goal....it's not often that you'll see a Champion fighting to ADD a challenger to his title defence, but Ahmed Johnson doesn't give a damn, and he wants to get his hands on Kevin Nash, so if he has to put someone down to do it, then so be it.....

.....of course it helped that Bret Hart was on the opposing team, because both Big Sexy and Ahmed want a piece of the Hitman, while Scott Hall just wants a shot at Owen Harts Intercontinental Championship......it's Hall that gets stuck playing the face in peril role too, as the Canadians isolate, double (and occasionally triple) team him, and use every cheap trick in the book to keep the upper hand.....and that includes Test on the outside taking out Waltman with a massive, running Big Boot on the floor.....and as the official is distracted by that, Owen chokes the life out of the Bad Guy with a nearby electrical cable......

......with Waltman still down, Test breaks up a tag attempt, dragging Ahmed off the apron just as Hall arrives, which Nash responds too by chasing him away from the corner, just as Hall outstretched his hand out to make the change......Test is certainly a distraction on the floor.......

....at least he was.....until Big Poppa Pump decides he's seen enough and comes running out from the back to level the bodyguard with a Steinerline that plants the big man on his ass.....

.....Scotty has had his problems with Test and Jericho in the last few weeks, and the Ayatollah of Rock'n'Rolla now turns his attention to the former World Wrestling Federation Champion, who's stood on the outside calling Jericho a "PRISSY LITTLE B!TCH......WHY DON'T YOU COME DOWN HERE AMERICA JUNIOR, AND I'LL SHOVE A MAPLE LEAF SO FAR UP YOUR ASS YOU'LL BE ABLE TO USE IT TO BLOW YOUR NOSE".....

.....Bret and Owen aren't overly happy to see Steiner either, and all three men take their eye off the ball long enough for Scott Hall to make it to his corner, where he makes the tag to Big Sexy Kevin Nash......

.....Nash steps over the top rope and runs across the ring (without tearing a single quad) where he drives a knee into the back of Bret Hart, sending him flying off the apron (where he takes that patented Hitman sternum first crash landing on the crowd rail.....and if he didn't have tender ribs already, he certainly has now).....Owen turns around and gets decked with a big right hand that drops him to the apron, then grabs Jericho by the hair and drags him into the ring over the top rope.......Nash is finished, he's done playing.....and he drops the straps down, points at Ahmed telling him that he'll see him Sunday.....and then drives Jericho into the mat with the Jacknife Powerbomb for the one, the two, and the three........Kevin Nash (and Scott Hall) head to Badd Blood, and the gold may well be coming home to the Wolfpac.......

Winner(s): Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Ahmed Johnson
Rating: B+

Quote:

......but the moment the officials hand strikes the mat for the third time, (before the bell has even finished ringing) Ahmed rushes the ring and drops a knee into the damaged ribs of Big Sexy, followed by a series of elbow drops asking Nash how he likes that?......

......Ahmed rolls Nash off the top of Jericho, picks the Ayatollah of Rock'n'Rolla up and tosses him to the outside, before mounting the chest of Nash and unloading with a series of stiff right hands......

......Chris Jericho lands with a crash at the feet of Sean Waltman (who has pulled himself back up to a standing position following the assault from Test) and Waltman wastes no time in hitting Jericho with a number of stomps, before dragging him up by the hair and whipping him into the crowd rail, where he delivers a series of (as Jim Ross calls them) martial arts kicks against the steel......Test makes his way over to put a stop to that, and picks Waltman up in the fall away slam position, but instead of tossing him overhead, he drives the back of the Kid into the ring post......but if Chris Jericho thought he was going to catch a breather he was dead wrong, because Scott Steiner isn't done with him yet.......

......Ahmed is still pounding on Nash in the middle of the ring and Scott Hall looks to be heading into the ring to help out his partner.....he doesn't make it however, because the Intercontinental Champion, Owen Hart hooks him by the ankles from the outside, and drags him down to the floor, clearly looking to weaken the new number one contender to HIS title just six days before he puts it on the line, and that leaves us with a pretty chaotic scene......Ahmed hammering Nash, Jericho and Test battling Steiner and Waltman, and Owen brawling with Hall on the floor......

.....that just leaves Bret Hart, who (while still selling his ribs masterfully) rolls gingerly into the ring behind Ahmed, where he delivers a number of flat footed kicks to the back of the WWF Champions's head, dragging him to his feet before dropping him right back down with a Russian Leg Sweep.....

.....Bret mounts the second turnbuckle, then leaps and drives the point of his elbow into the skull of the WWF Champion, before picking up Ahmed's thick legs, looking to lock in the Sharpshooter......and that's when Kevin Nash kicks his head off his shoulders with a Big Boot.....

.....with Hart and Ahmed both down, Nash drops to the outside briefly where he picks up the top half of the steel ring steps, sliding them under the bottom rope before re-entering the ring himself......he positions the steps in the middle of the canvas, and as Jim Ross says that we have seen this before from Kevin Nash, Big Sexy drags the Hitman to his feet by the hair......it looks as though he's about to deliver the Jacknife Powerbomb onto the hard steel......

......before he can deliver the devastating move however, Ahmed takes him by surprise with a series of right hands......Nash returns the favour, firing back with blows of his own, just as Bret Hart gets back to his feet to join in the fist fight.....and as the battle unfolds on the outside the ring, we have a three way brawl inside it, as just six days before Badd Blood, six days before our triangle WWF Championship match, and six days before these three men go to war, we have a preview of sorts right here to close out the show, as Jim Ross implores us to buy the Pay Per View, because we are out of time.

It's Monday Night, we're live and in living colour.....and it's time for the Titans of Wrestling to welcome us to Monday Nitro.......

.....not that the Titans look to be in a very welcoming mood....in fact, they look positively p!ssed off. The group enters the ring as one, but there's no time for formalities tonight, because Hollywood has a microphone......he turns straight to Jean Paul Levesque, getting right down to the problem at hand.....that problem being the fact that not only did he have Sting's now familiar baseball bat in hand last week, he also had a free shot at the man himself.......

".....Sting was stood there three feet away from you brother....helpless, inviting YOU to swing that bat at his head.....you could have got rid of the Titan's biggest headache with one big home run dude......but YOU...didn't...get...the...job...done......all you had to do, was swing that bat, jack, and the crow man could have been history for good.....which makes me wonder, what with you being so eager to get a shot at Hollywood Hogan and the Titan World Title and all, exactly where your priorities lie brother......"

.....Hogan says that there are only three letters that matter around here...they ain't W.W.F....they ain't W.C.W....and they damn sure ain't J.P.L......he says that the only three letters that matter around these parts, are T.o.W.......and at the end of the day, you're either WITH the Titans, or AGAINST the Titans.....so which one is it going to be.....brother?.....

.....Levesque just stands there throughout Hollywood's little rant, never taking his eyes off the Icon....he looks away from him now however, as he turns to look at the realisation that the entire Titan group as surrounded him, and they appear to be waiting for a reply.....

".....first of all, the whole lot of you might want to back it up about two steps, because your little intimidation tricks ain't working, and frankly....Buff....all I can smell is hair gel and baby oil, so back it up a bit.....second of all, you're damn right I didn't hit Sting in the back of the head with that bat last week....because I don't NEED to hit Sting in the back of the head to take him out......"

......Levesque says that there's not a man, wrestler, legend or self proclaimed Icon here in WCW that he can't defeat in a straight up fight......Levesque says that when the day comes for him and Sting to go at it, he's going to straight up fight the reclusive star face to face.....

".....because I don't need baseball bats to win matches......I don't run from a fight.....and I definitely don't leave my "brothers" laying...."brother"......as for where MY priorities lie, I could ask you the same question.....because everyone knows that there are only three letters in Wrestling that are important to you......the question is, are those three letters T.o.W? Or are those three letters Triple H?.....and you can call off the lawyers Vin-Man, because I'm talking about Hollywood Hulk Hogan......"

......Levesque says that in two weeks time, he and Hogan are going to be stepping into that ring, and ONE of them is going to be walking out as the WCW Champion.....Levesque, HE was more than happy to go into Halloween Havoc, and IF somehow Hollywood Hogan pinned his shoulders to the mat and won that match, he would shake Hollywood's hand and admit that on THAT day, Hogan was the better man......

"......could YOU say the same thing "brother"?.....because you can talk about the Titans of Wrestling.....you can talk about the new blood.....but at the end of the day, it's STILL all about Hollywood Hogan......so let me ask you something.......Whatcha gonna do brother.....if Jean Paul Levesque runs wild on you?......."

.....Levesque turns and looks at the rest of the Titans, asking them what THEY are going to do? What happens in two weeks time? What happens when JPL is the man around here? What happens when it's one of those new blood holding the WCW Title? Not Hogan.......not Savage, not Warrior....not the Trinity.....what happens to his so called friends then?.....

"......I'll tell you what happens to my friends......my REAL friends......they'll have my back, every step of the way......"

.....The Macho Man takes the microphone for a moment, clearly having heard enough......he says that there is a reason that The Trinity is still at the top of the mountain......there's a reason that ten-fifteen years later Hogan, Savage and the Warrior are STILL the men to beat.......and that because there's been no one big enough or bad enough to stop them......plenty have tried, plenty have failed.....and just like those two punks Chris Benoit and Diamond Dallas Page are going to find out, plenty more WILL fail.....because the cream always rises to the top and the Titans of Wrestling are the cream of the crop "yeah"......

.....Macho says that to be at the top of the mountain, you've got to be willing to do whatever it takes to get there.....Hollywood Hogan is willing to do whatever it takes.....the Macho Man and the Warrior, they're willing to do whatever it takes.....the Titans of Wrestling are willing to do whatever it takes.....the question is.....is Jean Paul Levesque willing to do whatever it takes? Because after last weeks display, Macho doesn't think that the young pretender has the killer instinct to beat Hollywood Hogan.......and as Macho speaks, the Titans circle tighter around Levesque.....

"......and if he don't got the killer instinct......we don't got time for that......"

......Levesque eyes the ever tightening circle around him, before telling Macho that if it's killer instinct he wants to see, then he's going to see it........tonight......before turning around and shoving Buff Bagwell abruptly to one side, as Jean Paul Levesque once again walks away from the Titans of Wrestling, and heads to the back.

Our next match sees Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow's ongoing saga with the "Titan" invaders.....no not those Titans (although the Nasty's are former members) I'm talking about the more generic use of the word to describe the former WWF stars that have received big pushes at the expense of the "forgotten" WCW wrestlers......

.....if you were expecting this match to be pretty then you were very much mistaken, because it was anything but....it was decent though.....all four of these men know how to brawl, and brawl they did....given that this was indeed a tag team match, the advantage SHOULD have really gone to the former multi-time tag team champions Knobbs and Saggs, but when you factor in that their opponents are both former WCW World Champions it's hard to bet against them....which is why after a hard hitting fight, Vader and Bigelow put the Nastys away, after Bam Bam and Vader hit stereo moonsaults to each of their opponents, in a stunning visual before legal man Vader pinned Knobbs for the three count.

Winner(s): Vader & Bigelow
Rating: B

Quote:

Sullivan joins his cohorts in the ring as Knobbs and Saggs are scraped up off the mat....and he's got a microphone in hand....he says that while taking apart the remnants of the original titan invaders was particularly pleasurable, it will be that little bit sweeter tonight, when Sullivan faces (and destroys) the man who was the first arrival in this new breed of interlopers, Jeff Hardy.....and then, at Halloween Havoc....the Rock is going to find out that you have to do more than talk.....because Vader is going to put an end to Rikishi Fatu, before Bam Bam Bigelow shuts the Rock's mouth once and for all.....nothing spectacular, but it served its purpose as a stopgap ahead of our next match......

.....which was SUPPOSED to be Bill Goldberg facing off against Konnan, but apparently the Mexican star had better things to do....like smoke so much weed before the show that he was in zero condition to perform and had to be sent home....(he went home with a fine too as he sheepishly apologised and promised not to let it happen again).....that left the undefeated rookie short one opponent.....which means in steps the Tahitian Savage as Bill Goldberg's latest victim.....

....who?.....The Tahitian Savage.....Lloyd Anoa'i....better known from his (future) ECW days as L.A Smooth, and the brother of Samu.....and he's been in WCW longer than Vince Russo....so why is this the first time we've seen him? Well mainly because I have no idea what to do with him....I don't really want to re-hash the whole "Samoan Faction" thing and stick him with the SST.....I suppose "LA Smooth" COULD work with the less savage Rikishi, but I dunno.....I haven't even come up with what I'm actually going to call him yet.....

......Goldberg needed a relatively fresh victim though so tonight the Tahitian Savage became the win number 32 after picking up a squash on both the Saturday Night b-show and (the absolute bane of my existence, A.I generated, usually auto booked) "WCW War Room"......and Goldberg demonstrates his incredible strength, getting the 363lb Samoan up in the Jackhammer for the pinfall victory.....the streak continues.

Winner: Bill Goldberg
Rating: C-

Quote:

Goldberg celebrates the fact that he's now 32-0......but he doesn't get to celebrate for long.....because the Face of Fear, Meng comes marching out from the back, with manager Jimmy Hart desperately trying to drag his client back......

......Goldberg couldn't care less about the new arrival, it's not like he over exerted himself in his prior 3 minute 36 second match after all, and he's more than ready to give Meng a taste of the same medicine that he gave the Barbarian last week.....

......it doesn't happen tonight however, because despite Meng's eagerness, Jimmy Hart FINALLY manages to convince his client that they would be best served saving this fight for Pay Per View, where they can actually be PAID for it.....will we see Goldberg vs. Meng at Halloween Havoc? That remains to be seen, but if Jimmy Hart has his way then we may well.

Last week Lance Storm captured his first major singles championship when he defeated Lord Steven Regal and Fit Finlay for the WCW Television Championship.....it was His Lordship, the now former Champion that Storm defeated in that particular match, so it only makes sense that the man he DIDN'T defeat (Mr. Finlay here) gets a one on one opportunity at the title.....

.....the match was certainly decent, with Storm having more luck in neutralising Finlay's brawling style better than Regal did.....Regal changed his usual game plan to try and adapt to Finlay, where as Storm maintained his more technical approach throughout, forcing Finlay to adapt to him.....it was a tactic that worked too, with Storm managing to catch the Irishman late in the match with the Maple Leaf single leg Boston crab, giving Finlay little choice but to concede the contest.

Winner: ....and Still WCW Television Champion.....Lance Storm

With the fate of the Television Title decided for the evening it's now time to turn our attention to the Tag Team Titles.....because Mean Gene is out, and he wants to talk with the Road Warriors, Hawk and Animal, two weeks out from their Triangle Tag Team defence at Halloween Havoc....

....he shills the Hotline first as he often does (1-900-909-9900....select option two to hear about the rumoured fact that Road Warrior Hawk has taken the Rock under his wing as a protégé.....although what he's going to teach the charismatic talented worker is beyond me)....before introducing the men themselves, Road Warrior Hawk, Road Warrior Animal....the WCW Tag Team Champions.....

.....Gene says that just last week Hawk and Animal picked up a very impressive victory over not only Adam Copeland and Christian Cage (along with The Enforcer Ray Traylor) but over Trinity member himself, The Warrior......and with Halloween Havoc right around the corner, that must have given the Road Warriors one hell of a confidence booster?......

.....Animal screams that Genes damn right it did.....not that the Road Warriors have ever been men you could accuse of lacking confidence....and at Halloween Havoc, Copeland, Cage, Awesome, Cain.....they're all going to find out exactly why the Road Warriors are the most decorated team in professional wrestling history.....

".......TELL 'EM HAWK........"

".......WELLLLLL....MEAN GENE......................"

....hold that thought...........

......because before Hawk can continue with one of his signature promo's, he's rudely interrupted by the arrivals of Mike Awesome....Gideon Cain....and their valet and mouthpiece, Missy Hyatt.....

......the trio make their way down the aisle, and don't hesitate for even a second as they climb into the ring to come face to face with the tag team champions of the world.....

......Missy has a microphone all of her own, and tells Gene that she thinks he's forgetting something....after all, it wasn't the Road Warriors in that match, her boys were on the winning side too...and frankly, everyone knows that the only time their team won, was because of Mike Awesome and Gideon Cain.....and her boys will prove that at Halloween Havoc ("when they bring those pretty gold belts home to mama").....

.....predictably a shouting match breaks out, as the two teams disagree on exactly who it was that was the difference maker last week...........

.....which is when Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, and Ray Traylor come walking out from the back......and The Enforcer has a steel chair in each hand....

....there seems to be a few sub groups opening up within the Titans of Wrestling.....you've got the Holy Trinity of Hollywood Hogan, Randy Savage and the Warrior, and now you've got the...ahem, Totally Awesome Trinity of Copeland, Cage and Traylor....

.....the bickering in the ring stops for a moment at the arrival of the Titan men, as each team eyes up those steel chairs....after all, everybody knows what Copeland and Cage are capable of when you place a chair in their hand......Traylor doesn't place the chairs in their hands however....instead he opens them up and places them down on the entrance way for Copeland and Cage to sit on, before walking off to the back......the two Titan members make themselves comfortable, before pulling out a microphone.....

".....oh, hey.....don't stop on our accounts....we just wanted a better view....."

.....The Enforcer re-emerges from the back.....and this time he has two bags of popcorn in hand, passing one to each Copeland and Cage, before taking up position behind them with his hands folded in front of him......

".....ok, continue......this is totally cool.....there's nothing me and Christian like more than watching Dork and Shamimal bickering like school girls with Mike Not-So-Awesome and Gideon Lame.....tell 'em Christian......"

"......WELLLLLLLLLL......."

.....Christian has to stop right there though......he's not as adapt at shouting as Hawk is, and it causes him to break out into a chronic coughing fit that is only alleviated by Ray Traylor patting him on the back until he can finally speak again.....

"........how do you do that every night?....that totally sucks......"

......Hawk tells Christian that what's NOT going to suck, is when he and Animal rip their stinking heads off and use them to beat Awesome and Cain stupid....well....stupider, they're already pretty stupid to be standing in the ring with them right now.....nearly as stupid as their air headed bimbo of a manger is if she thinks these titles are going anywhere near her "Boys".....

.....Missy is NOT happy about that comment, telling Hawk that she's no bimbo, before squealing at Awesome and Cain to "get them!"....and that exactly what they do, as the four men inside the ring begin hammering each other with blows......The Enforcer walks to the back again briefly, before returning with two drinks that he hands to Cage and Copeland, who holler and cheer for the action in the ring while enjoying their snacks from a safe difference.....

.....their entertainment for the evening however is spoiled as Doug Dillinger and his team make their way out to try and separate the brawling foursome, as we go off to commercial.

We've already seen The Forgotten once this evening, but following the destruction of the Nasty Boys the trio are here again, and this time it's Jeff Hardy that they have in their sights....and judging by the look on the faces of Vader and Bigelow, it could be a very long night for this youngster.....luckily for Mr. Hardy, the official obviously isn't in the mood for any of Sullivan's antics tonight, because before he even rings the bell he orders Bigelow and Vader to the back, threatening to disqualify Sullivan before the match even begins unless they comply.....

.....reluctantly the pair leave, meaning that we at least have a fair one on one match to look forward to....and it's quite the clash of styles for these two men.....

.....Jeff Hardy was indeed the first of a slew of big names to make the jump from the WWF recently, followed by the likes of Lance Storm, Rikishi Fatu, The Rock, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage...and since his arrival here in WCW Hardy has had not one, but two opportunities to become champion....first by challenging Eddie Guerrero for the United States Championship, and then by challenging the then Television Champion, Lord Steven Regal....do you know how many combined title opportunities Kevin Sullivan, Bam Bam Bigelow and Big Van Vader have had in that time? Zero.....not a one.....and that's exactly their point.....they are fed up of being overlooked and "forgotten" by the latest exile from the World Wrestling Federation, and they're not taking it any more......

......the match went about as well as you would expect between these two considering the obvious clash of styles....Sullivan went straight on the attack from the offset looking to surprise his (much) younger opponent....it works initially, but Hardy's speed eventually gives him the upper hand as he avoids a Kevin Sullivan charge, leaving the former Taskmaster to crash hard into the turnbuckles.....

.....the action went pretty back and forth from there, with Hardy using a combination of his speed, ability and high risk offence, while Sullivan focused on pure smash mouth brutality....and it was the youngster getting the better of the ring veteran as well.........

.....at least until Mortis, along with manager James Vandenberg make their way out.....

.....this official is having none of this either though.....and he's quickly to the outside to stop these two men's advances.....

.....when (much as Jeff Hardy did for him last week) Yoshihiro Tajiri comes rushing out from the back, going straight for Mortis and hammering him all the way to the back.....looks like Mortis won't be a factor in this after all.....

.....except he kinda was.....

......because with the official distracted by that, Sullivan takes the opportunity to take hold of a steel chair, which he uses to nail Hardy with....and as the referee returns to the ring, he leaps on top of (the practically unconscious) Jeff Hardy with the Double Stomp, before getting the one, the two, and the three.

Winner: Kevin Sullivan
Rating: B

Quote:

With the match over there's nothing to prevent the return of Big Van Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow, as Sullivan's teammates hit the ring to join him.....poor Hardy is really in no condition to defend himself at the minute, and The Forgotten look to capitalise on that....Bam Bam drags Hardy back to his feet, whipping him hard into the corner where Vader crushed the life out of him with a running splash, before annihilating him with those clubbing Vader blows.....

.....Hardy collapses in a heap on the mat, but Vader isn't done....and he drags Hardy back to his feet, pulls him into the middle of the ring.....and absolutely drills him into the mat with a massive Powerbomb.....

......Hardy is done.....done.......but Sullivan isn't.....pointing to Bigelow and telling him to get up on that top rope.....clearly Sullivan wants Bigelow to finish the job with that patented Diving Headbutt, and the big man does as he's asked, climbing all the way up to the top turnbuckle, poised to fly.......

.....when the crowd suddenly pops huge.....because Rikishi is running down the aisle.....although I suppose they might be popping for the man that's with him.....The Rock.....

......Rock-ishi fly into the ring, and Big 'Kish goes straight for Vader.....Rock initially clips the ankle of Bam Bam, crouching him on the top rope and taking him out of commission, before turning his attention to Sullivan, clocking him with a series of right hands, before finally sending him crashing to the outside with one last big shot.....

......Rikishi has backed Vader up against the ropes, and he dazes him with a hard Samoan Headbutt, before backing up and along with the Rock, charges at the former WCW Champion, as the two men send him flying over the top rope with a double clothesline.....

......Jeff Hardy is somehow back to his feet, and seeing this Rikishi heads over to the corner where Bigelow is still planted crotch first on the top turnbuckle, where he drops down to all fours, inviting Hardy to get a measure of revenge.....and Jeff doesn't need asking twice, as he runs and leaps off the back of Rikishi, nailing Bigelow with a high Poetry in Motion that sends Bam Bam crashing to the floor alongside his team mates......

......the two big men get themselves back to their feet, and they are NOT happy.....there might be three men inside the ring, but Bigelow and Vader look ready to fight no matter the odds....Sullivan on the other hand is more calculated than his hot headed cohorts, telling his men mountains to stand down.....their time will come, and it will come when Sullivan says so, NOT when this titan trash says so, before leading his group to the back as we air a promo for Halloween Havoc ahead of our next match.

First Blood Match

It's time for the SST and the Pitbulls to clash once again.....and while Madusa's Mutts have won every meeting so far, the results have been far from conclusive.....disqualifications, count-outs....and just last week (under instruction from surprise arrival Gary Hart) the Samoan's straight up walked from the match and headed to the back......

.....this match is virtually guaranteed a conclusive finish, because Hart appears to have taken over the managerial duties of the SST, and the announcers inform us that because of this, he's added a special stipulation to this one.....it's going to be a first blood match....there's no cheap way to win this one, you want the victory then you're going to have to make your opponent bleed for it.....

.....Madusa accompanies the Pitbulls as usual, while Hart is in the corner of Fatu and Samu....and it's clear from the offset that Gary Hart has the Samoan's more focused than they have been in quite some time....

.....the match was about as good as you could expect for a down and dirty brawl....Pitbulls 1 & 2 are certainly not inexperienced in the "extreme" environment that accompanies a first blood match, while the Samoan's are out and out savages.....the four men brutalise each other with every available object at hand in an effort to draw blood, but with the addition of Gary Hart in their corner, it's the SST that FINALLY pick up a victory over the Pitbulls, after Samu busts Pitbull #2 open with a number of blows from one of those thick bamboo canes that the pair carry out with them to ringside.....I guess the Samoan's really did just need to find the right mind to guide them to victory.

Winner(s): The Samoan SWAT Team
Rating: B-

Quote:

The Samoan's head to the back, and now with Gary Hart in their corner they must be happy to finally get that monkey (dog?) off their back with a victory.....before they can make it through the entrance way however they are stopped by the voice of Madusa, who tells Hart to wait right there.....she says that Hart is actin like they just won this war, but by her reckoning, that's Pitbulls 3, Samoan's 1........so how about Saturday Night they do this again.....but this time, no count outs, no disqualifications.....no stopping the match for a fluke cut......because next week the Pitbulls want the Samoan's again........in a Bamboo Cane on a Pole match.......

......Hart stops for a moment to consider the proposition, before whispering something into the ears of his two savages.....he turns and says that he's not usually one to make rash decisions but he's feeling pretty good about now.....so yes.....he accepts that challenge.....but if Madusa thinks for one second that the result on WCW Saturday Night will be any different than tonight....well, She's going to be very, very disappointed.

From there we head backstage, where Mean Gene is standing by with the Total Package Lex Luger.....Gene says that at Halloween Havoc, two friends in Lex Luger and The Giant will be facing each other....he says that Lex stated what win, lose or draw, when that match was over he was going to be stood there offering the hand of friendship to the Giant....but after last week, when his "friend" the Giant left him high and dry to get assaulted by the Titans of Wrestling, Gene has to ask.....is that still the case?....

.....Luger doesn't answer for a second, before letting out a big sigh and an"I don't know Gene".....Lex says that if last week taught him anything, it's that you don't give up on people....he offered the hand of friendship to Sting and the Stinger repaid that by frankly saving his ass.....but Giant.....

"......I just don't know what the hell his problem is Gene......"

.....Luger says that he understands that things have been tense between them as of late, but he's just put that down to the desire that each man has to challenge for that WCW Title....there's nothing wrong with a little bit of friendly competition, but last week, what the Giant did, there was nothing friendly about that.....he says that he HAD hoped to speak to the big seven footer tonight, but apparently the Giant has taken the night off because he isn't here tonight, but with Halloween Havoc right around the corner, this is going to get settled one way or another.....and soon.

WCW US Title #1 Contenders Match

Our next match will see the crowning of a new number one contender for Eddie Guerrero's United States Championship, as Curt Hennig faces off against the Titans of Wrestling's own Buff Bagwell....and whoever wins this match will have a tough test ahead of them, because since winning the gold back at July's Bash at the Beach event, Eddie Guerrero has turned away a who's who list of challengers and seen his confidence (cockiness?) grow exponentially, to the point that he claims not to care one way or another who his next challenger is......although, he certainly seemed to care when it looked as though the Rock was positioning himself for a title opportunity, but that's a different matter for a different day.....

.....this match was ok.....not as good as I was hoping, but it wasn't terrible.....Buff Bagwell, for as much as people may tout him as the next big thing in professional wrestling, still has a way to go in order to live up to that potential....where as Hennig (while still being head and shoulders above Buff in both popularity and ability) is not as young as he once was, and an almost career ending back injury has still slowed his step slightly....he's still perfectly capable of putting on exceptional matches, but now a days perhaps against a slightly higher caliber of worker than Buff Bagwell.....

.....Curt still sells like a trooper though, making Buff look every bit the star that people are touting him to be, and surprisingly there's not another Titan in sight, meaning it's a relatively clean affair, the end of which saw Buff go for the Blockbuster, only for Hennig to duck....avoid the shot.....drag Bagwell back to his feet......and finish him off with the Hennig-Plex for the one, the two, and the three.....and Curt Hennig has earned a shot at the WCW United States Championship.

Winner: Curt Hennig
Rating: B-

Quote:

The official raises the hand of Curt Hennig, who makes the universal "belt" motion towards his waist....clearly he believes he's in with a good shot at bringing home the United States Championship.....although the current US Champion might have something to say on the matter, as Eddie Guerrero comes walking out onto the stage, with his Title belt hanging proudly over his shoulder.....

.....Eddie stops to give Hennig a slow (rather sarcastic) round of applause, before pulling out a microphone to personally congratulate the new number one contender....he says that he's had his battles with Hollywood Hogan....with the Titans of Wrestling.....but he's finally in the big leagues now.....because now he's going to step in the ring, with Eddie Guerrero.....

".....and hey, I hear that you're a little bit like Mary Poppins Holmes.....I hear that you're practically perfect in every way.....well I got news for you Mary, there's only one Papi of Perfection around here esè, and his name is Eddie Guerrero....."

.....Hennig smirks at that, telling Guerrero that if he's really that confident, why doesn't he walk that aisle right now and see how confident he feels after Curt Hennig puts him on his back....Guerrero scoffs at that suggestion however, telling Hennig that the big leagues means the big stage....he'll get his shot, but it will be live on Pay Per View, NOT in front of these Virginian dirtbags here tonight.

VS.

It's main event time now.....and for Chris Benoit it's a big one, but for Diamond Dallas Page it's quite possibly the biggest match of his life.....because their opponents are none other than the Mega Maniacs, two thirds of the Trinity, Randy "Macho Man" Savage, and the man who up until he got Diamond Cuttered on the outside last week, refused to even acknowledge Diamond Dallas Page's existence....the Warrior....

......I was a little apprehensive as to how well this match would be received, given the fact that you have two iconic main eventers in there with two upper midcarders (at best) in Page and Benoit.....turns out I shouldn't have worried, because this match was fantastic.....

.....be it the fact that the Warrior is now walking slowly to the ring instead of blowing himself up before the match has even begun, or the fact that he's adopted a toned down, more methodical style of offence, whatever it is it's clearly working for him, while Savage is consistently one of the best performers in this and any other match.....

.....the two faces start out really strong, going straight on the attack the second the bell rings, which was sound strategy, because they are a) clearly the underdogs, and b) Savage and Warrior weren't expecting it at all, and it puts them straight on the back foot....if the two Titan men were expecting Benoit and Page to be star struck in this one then they were clearly going to be disappointed, because the only stars DDP and the Crippler are interested in here, are their own stars rising.....

.....it's Page that gets cut off from his opponent when it comes time for the Titans to take control....and if Dallas really wanted the Warriors attention, then he gets it here in droves, because the Tassel wearing Titan is far from happy about the perceived disrespect DDP showed him last week.....eventually however, Dallas is able to duck out of the way of a Warrior flying shoulder tackle, before making his way over to his corner, where Benoit is hopping and pacing like a caged animal, desperate to get back into the fray.....there is the usual "one man house of fire" routine from the fresher Benoit, as he takes out both Warrior and Savage single handedly, before Page finally gets back into the fray, tackling the Warrior through the ropes and out to the floor.....and this one looks like it may well be over, because Randy Savage finds himself trapped in the Crippler Crossface, and it doesn't look as though it's going to take long before the former WWF and WCW Champion gives up here.......

.....Warrior sees this, and looks to get back into the ring to break it up....Page holds him back however.....and in a desperate measure to prevent Savage the humiliation of submitting, he picks up a steel chair from ringside and absolutely nails DDP over the head with it, right in the officials view, leaving him no choice but to call for the bell.......this one is over folks, and while Benoit and Page are victorious, it's probably not the type of victory they were hoping for.....

Winner(s): Chris Benoit & Diamond Dallas Page (via Disqualification)
Rating: A

(OOC: Not the match rating I was expecting at all, especially with the number of road agent notes I had to use to get Savage and Warrior to agree to lose.....Keep Strong: Savage/Warrior, Protect: Savage/Warrior, Cheap Win, Deliberate DQ Win.....sometimes with these Savage/Warrior/Hogan matches I don't know who's going to win myself until I see who's willing to play ball, every bloody plan needs a contingency)

Quote:

.......with the bell ringing, Chris Benoit must think he's secured the victory for his team.....the steel chair crashing across his back however must give him an idea that everything maybe isn't quite as it seems.....and as Warrior brings the chair down a further two times, Savage signals to the back......clearly Dallas Page and Chris Benoit need to learn their place in the pecking order, and as the entire Titans of Wrestling group make their way out from the back, it looks like class is about to be in session.....

.....Warrior throws down the steel chair and heads to the outside, where he and the Totally Awesome Trinity of Copeland, Cage and Traylor proceed to show DDP exactly why he doesn't belong in the ring with a legend of the sport like the Warrior, beating the snot out of him....

.....back in the ring, Savage, Buff, Hollywood, and even Levesque, surround the downed Chris Benoit......Macho, Bagwell and Hogan look about ready to unleash a monumental ass whipping....literally, because Hollywood is unstrapping that weight lifting belt....but Levesque tells them to stop.....

....the Titans don't look too happy about that.....especially after Levesque refusal to finish off Sting once and for all last week....but Levesque said earlier that he was going to unleash that killer instinct, picking up the steel chair discarded by the Warrior moments ago, and telling Hogan to get Benoit up to his feet.....

.....Hollywood smiles at that, finally Levesque is acting like a Titan....and he drags the Crippler to a standing position, hooking his arms behind his back and holding him in position, as Levesque spends a few moments talking trash to the Canadian, before swinging the chair full force at his head......

.....except Benoit moves......

.....and it's Hollywood that takes the full force of the blow.....

.....with the head of the family down and out in the middle of the ring, the action comes to a standstill as the Titans cease their assault and all surround Hollywood....he is out cold from that blow, and it's a blow that's come from his own team mate....

.....to be fair, Levesque appears to be just as concerned as the rest of the group....it was an accident after all....or was it? Because as the viewers at home are treated to a replay, it's blatantly obvious that it was Levesque taking the time to talk trash that gave Benoit the opportunity it's to break free.....but on top of that, the replay shows that not only did Benoit break free wayyyyy before Levesque swung the chair.....but Levesque never took his eyes off Hogan for one second.....there's no way that shot was accidental.....was it payback for that baseball bat shot a few weeks back?.....

.....we're going to have to wait to find out, because we are out of time.....and this show is finishing on the rare sight of the Titans gathered around the downed WCW Champion Hollywood Hogan, with looks of concern etched on their collective faces.....although as the show fades to black, Levesque's facade slips slightly, and the final shot of the evening is Jean Paul Levesque with a big smirk on his face, looking down at the man he will challenge for the World title in just two weeks at Halloween Havoc.....see you next week folks.....

Hell in a Cell Match
Mankind vs. Brian Pillman
Comments: More hpping than expecting, really; You have two of my all-time favourites, and Mankind coming out on top on Raw could mean it's going to be Pillman... but it just seems like Mankind needs the win more.

WWF Championship: Triple Threat Match
Ahmed Johnson (c) vs. Kevin Nash vs. Bret Hart
Comments: Johnson shouldn't be able to survive these two, but it's not like they'll be able to operate on the same page even for a minute. Johnson will survive to capitalise on that.

WWF Intercontinental Championship Match
Owen Hart (c) vs. Scott Hall
Comments: Hall's one of your more entertaining characters, I think, but he's not fit. It's remarkable he does so well for you, but I guess he's well protected when he does wrestle.

WWF Tag Team Championship Match
The New Age Outlaws (c) vs. Al Snow & Chris Candido
Comments: Sunny could still switch to the NAO, but barring that it seems like Snow and Candido have earned this. Which I never thought I'd say about Candido in any dynasty, as the guy was a total cypher for me in real life.

Falls Count Anywhere: Street Fight
Harlem Heat vs. The Dogs of War
Comments: Upside, upside, upside.

Steve Austin vs. Kane
Comments: Kane's a big road block, but Austin's the irresistible force right now.

Barry Windham & Psycho Sid vs. Ric Flair & Arn Anderson
Comments: Horsemen A Team over Horsemen B Team - and I say that as someone who really liked Windham and Sid.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. Raven
Comments: I don't think this one goes to a conclusive finish.

Mankind - After all the build of Foley not being able to defeat Pillman, he needs to finally get that big win. Hell in a Cell is a great place for that.
Ahmed Johnson - This one would put Ahmed over HUGE, but I have a feeling we will be seeing some of the Undertaker's DONG coming for him very soon.
Scott Hall - I know I've championed Hall a lot here, but the Wolfpac have really just become "Nash and his two buddies". Hall picking up a title would go a long way toward changing that view.
New Age Outlaws - After all the hard work to get another match from them, the Outlaws cheat to retain the titles.
Harlem Heat - Heat vs. NAO coming soon.
Steve Austin
Flair and Arn
Raven - Unless Jake shows up stoned off his gourd, this one isn't about to be over anytime soon.
