Ross is good, but not goot enough to beat Riley. Plus he has yet to prove himself in the long run, don't think you'd pull the trigger on him so early

The Devil’s Rejects w/ February Malaise versus The Mission ©

Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Championship

When your show is so big, the main title is not even defended in the top three matches

The Cummos versus The Can-Am Blondes
Whatever, could go either way

“The Living Legend” Sean McFly versus “Relentless” Wesley Browning
Given your comments on McFly's status, I'm guessing he passes the torch here

I've been meaning to ask for quite some time now, but keep forgetting: how the heck does a chokeslam become complex???

Henry would be a good champion for the Confederation with his high popularity but it also makes him a target for Eisen and Packer. As mentioned by CobHead Jake I think that Henry could be bing thanked for his service in the post show review.

I think Ernest and KC still have some legs as a tag team so don't see him winning here.

Going for a big win for The Cummos as I'm guessing that one or both the Blondes are suffering from the dreaded time decline.

I know he's here to lose and he's not same McFly as before but I think win here, earn a big final match which he loses and then retires.

I took a deep breath and exhaled it into the cold Denver air. Two hours ago, Jeffery Aroma and Riley McManus beat down Ross Henry in the center of the ring to end Christmas Chaos. The Devil's Rejects won the World Tag Team Titles, Alexander Vasquez won the World Junior Heavyweight Championship and we closed out the fifth year of operation. Our 98th show. When I opened Rocky Mountain Wrestling, when I made the decision that I wanted to promote and book my own company I didn't know how long we would last. The economy was tough. The business was down. Five years later we had run ninety-eight shows.

We had built a roster that was a mixture of students and veterans. Success stories and people on their last legs. Alexander and The Rejects were standing out above the crowd. Jeffery Aroma was showing that he was incredibly versatile. Riley McManus had built himself into the top wrestler in the Confederation of the Territories. With fifteen successful title defenses, he had two more defenses in a single reign than Running Wolf. He had nineteen defenses across his two reigns -- with his second reign now finishing its seventh month. He has worked all over North America as champion.

I was proud. The Mission and Devil's Rejects match was the best match we had put on as a company. This year we had had several matches that the wrestling media would rank as four stars. We were turning into the premier independent wrestling company in the world.

How many guys had started with us, or spent good runs with us before getting signed to major deals? Logan Diaz had been fired from Pittsburg Steel Wrestling. He spent the bulk of the five years of our run with us -- now he was with Burning Hammer. We *made* him. Jakob Yoder was still RIPW Tag Team Champion. Leonard Vedder was RIPW USA Champion. Clyde had been signed. Whitehorse Whitaker had come to us and was now RIPW Champion. We gave El Mitico Jr his first big break and now he was with South of the Border Wrestling.

I was proud. Proud of what we had produced. Proud that we were a must-see company that was sending DVDs all over the world. We were talked about. We were steadily gaining popularity. We were becoming a place guys wanted to come work.

We had spent the past five years building. I had some plans for our sixth year. Some plans that would hopefully take us over the top and put us onto the national stage -- but that would come. We had our biggest show ever in January and I still had to see what the news was reporting. I was sure we were going to win Most Improved Company of the Year. This *had* to be our year. I was sure of it...

  • Todd Grove, the 35th Graduate of the Rocky Mountain School of Wrestling, has graduated. He is the first graduate of 2021.
  • Lucy Stone-McFly, who just turned pro and signed with North of the Border Wrestling, will also be spending six shows with Rocky Mountain Wrestling while Owen Love will be going to North of the Border for six shows.
  • RMW Live will be moving to Sundays, Week 2 of each month.
  • RMW Live’s bell time will move to 6:30 PM to accommodate the move to Sunday’s and make sure everyone is home in time for Work on Monday’s!
  • Starting in January, all shows that were 90 minutes are being extended to 120 minutes Shows that were longer are staying their normal length (Wrestling Summit, Anniversary, Oxford Invitational, and Gold Rush).
  • Steve DeColt replaces Robbie Sanchez as head booker of USPW.
  • David Stone has signed a pay per appearance contract with RMW. He will be competing for both his family’s NOTBW and RMW.

Right! I'm all caught up, and just in time for 2021's first show!

First of all, let me just say something I keep thinking but forgetting to mention: that RMW Heavyweight Championship belt is beautiful!

Anyway, my first lot of predictions...

I don't see Aroma losing the title here, or for a while. He and Riley are too much of a two-man power trip right now! Tag titles?

Lucy's on a limited deal, and I feel like Wendy is being used to build up the Women's division, which will take a little while longer yet.

Well welcome to the prediction game!

And I'm sure Christian_Shane appreciates that you like the belt he designed! He made all of the championship belts I use in this diary (RMW and COTT) with the exception of the Women's. while willr0cks truly does rock and made the fantastic Gold Rush and Oxford Invitational trophies (he also made the top graduate medal, but we don't use that anymore)

For whatever it's worth, my Local to Global company finally won it when on the cusp of hitting Cult stage, so it'll take a while before RMW wins that prize...

RMW Can-Am Championship

I can see the switch happening here. Adams is good enough to do it and carry the belt, releasing Aroma to move up to the main show

Rocky Mountain Women’s Championship
Lucy Stone-McFly versus Wendy Anderson ©
I mean, Lucy just got her feet wet in the business. Skill and name value alone are good enough to give her a shot, but not the title. Plus she's on borrowed time

Scout versus Gorilla Lee
Scout beats the newbie to look good so he can lose to more important people

“The Return of the Monster” James Diaz versus Hammer Hadley
One day, Hadley will beat a Diaz and make his name. But this is not that day

“The Troubadour” Floyd Reeves versus “Money Talks” Carl DiBiase
Torn here. Probably tainted win for DiBiase

“The Canadian Wrestling Machine” David Stone versus Todd Grove
Todd who?

Jonathan Riggs versus “Relentless” Wesley Browning
Still waiting on that DeColt-Browning matchup. All the pistol puns

Teresa Newton, Colleen Appleseed, & Jessica Montoya versus Marie Punnen, Linda Crump, & Katherine Paris
Skipping predictions for this. If you're not sure what you want to do/say with these matches, you might wanna limit them to the pre-show in order to avoid that WWE-style "throw all the women in a multi man match" kind of booking
